This morning at 5 o'clock, I get a call from my cousin who is staying at my house saying somebody was in my house. She said she had just gotten out of the shower and went down into my parents bed room to stay and as shes come down the stairs somebody has come up and she just froze and they piss bolted. There was some really strange things that happened though.

As I was at my house yesturday I have seen what it looked like before the break in. It was clean and there was nothing on the kitchen bench. This morning there was a pair of scissors but my cousin didn't get them out as she was out until 4:15 this morning. Also my cousin never closes my parents onsuite door so she can make sure nobody is in there. When she and the cops went down there the door was closed. When I got there with my grandparents the cops would't let me in my own house until they knew who I was which I took offence to because I was like I live here n they were giving me sus looks and then my cousin said 'Oh hey Rau, don't worry this is his house'. Bloody cops lol. Anyway theres a fingerprinting squad comming around today so hopefully the person gets caught and I think he will as he wasn't wearing any gloves.

My parents business was broken into at like, 2 AM before 1we8.gif Luckily they had motion detectors trip the alarm. The mofos got away but they didn't get anything.

I stole mints from a local grocery store when I was 5.

The last few days a lot of weird stuff has been going on in our condo complex. Only 9 people live in these conds (including me, my mom, sister), and the cops were out at 4:00 am a couple days ago going through the empty (not finished) condos with their flashlights. And then helicopters have been flying around a lot here and getting pretty low. I have a feeling they're looking for some escapee (is that a word?)...

Lesse... I was once almost kidnapped in Florence, Italy. I was coming back from an after-rugby tournament where there was fireworks and the whole tour was there. We were walking back to the hotel and these three grown men started following me while I was walking through the crowd and started to close in. One of my friends pulled me out of the way and they started giving her a really horrible look and started going after her too and so we had to run as fast as we could to get away from these people to the teachers who were supposed to be watching us. Most likely I was probably going to be mugged and they saw me as a young American girl who had money but still a lot worse could have happened. And that, my friends... is why I am never going back to Florence. Not to mention I was full out groped in the crowd watching the fireworks before and also had some girl try to reach her hands into my purse.

Raui your cousin should feel lucky though. The person left, they could have done a lot of things. So what was actually stolen? Anything of importance?

My house was broken into about a year and three months ago. They came in took my Xbox and games and about 50 - 60 DVDs. Nothing of great importance. You could tell it was kids by what they took. They didn't take any of my watches, I have several most worth several hundred dollars, they didn't take any thing of value other than the Xbox. The where never caught but we have pretty good suspicions of who it was. Hopefully the dick heads who broke into your house will be caught and punished.

Yes, but I had seen more crime in Italy than I had any other country I had ever visited... including Russia, Ukraine, and Belarus. There were prostitutes all over the streets, there were little kids acting like they were right out of the play Oliver Twist, and all and all it was the worst city I have ever been to. And I had seen all of that in two days in the tourist district (which in my experience isn't normally the bad part of town). Not exactly a good sign, is it?

And I don't know how long they were following me.

And Raui you already think it was someone you know? o.o Wow.

well my uncle was coming back from a marrige cermony late at night and the route to home passed a pretty deserted place where people occasionaly got robbed...but he needed to get home quick so he took that route and guess what happened...yup he and his family was robbed...they took all his money...that was about £5000-£7000 and all the jewellery as well...they were just happy to be alive...oh and in my whole life, not a single robbery has happened at MY house...

That's acutally the worse part of the town in most places as it's where the usually ignorant tourists are the easy pickings for most people.

I was almost mugged by a mime in poland. Scary shit ya know.

Well generally I've always had a good experience there in the tourist districts, but maybe I just got lucky then? I've just been to most countries in Western Europe and some in Eastern and just never had a problem besides Italy :\ I'll stick to places like Switzerland from now on though if I can help it. And a... mime? Are you serious? That's insane.. really insane. I'll keep that in mind if I ever want to visit Warsaw. Shame...

We were robbed once pretty seriously when I was quite young and we were away on holiday. Lots of my mums jewellery was stolen and our VCR and that as well. Wasn't good sad.gif.

Then we once got robbed late at night but they only took my school bag and my mums work bag, neither of which had anything very much in, they would have got more but they saw my dad and ran off again.

There was a third time, but I can't remember that =S. Obviously not a very important one though.

Lol, we was acutally in Krakow at the time and a mime was acting behind me and I didn't realise it but my friend warned me, I almost turned around to hit him, but I jumped instead and walked off.

I'm glad nothing was stolen and I hope the person that was responsible for it is caught. dry.gif

I've been fortunate enough to never really been robbed before except one time really long ago and it was kind of messed up because it was my dad's own brother in our basement trying to take some of my dad's work tools. We caught him of course because we have a dog and we awoke to him barking at my uncle and yeah I forgot what they did but I think they called the police on him. Not too sure. >.<

My friend got robbed one time and they took a lot of things like his XBox and a lot of other stuff. His dad has connections with the city or whatever so the police or whatever returned/bought back everything that was stolen and they even lied and told them they had stolen stuff that they didn't even have in the first place like a Gamecube, a lot of games for XBox/PS2/Gamecube, some DVDs, etc. Lucky for him.

Sorry for the lack of commas and better wording. //tired. tongue.gif

i've been mugged many times, jumped, had my stuff taken without me knowing, but my house has never been broken into. i suppose it's karma, since i steal from stores (never small mom&pop shops, big name brand stores)..but that's life i guess. speaking of stealing from stores, taking thigns from places like duane reade&rite aid is beyond easy..they have those big scanners in the front of the shops for no reason..nothing in there even goes off tongue.gif

Got pickpocketed when I was in Athens last year but only had a few Euros on me at the time.

Friend of mine got mugged in Paris over Christmas, had her phone, ipod, ticket home and about €400 taken from her.
