I'm not sure if we even modified online.php..... I think noit was modding that, so maybe we could just reload that script? We have enough work as it is.. it takes hour to do a full reload and I don't think fixing these two minor issues warrants reloading the entire site and having downtime.

Yeah. Me no like. I'd rather pick at the code and see wtf its doing wrong.
I have reason to believe it's just a few that are affected by the name change synchronization mod we made. I'll have to do some tests, but I'm pretty sure it's that.

Ok, well.... what it does is that it makes sure that the login names and the display names are the same by synching them every so often. It's a VERY outdated system, and I think we should just scrap the task altogether and just ensure it gets done the first time via. UserCP. It's sloppy coding on my part, I know.

sorry but remind me again why we wanted them to be the same?

I think noit and I wanted them to be the same so we didn't confuse ourselves when making modifications and when we were trying to find people in ACP. I think that's covered though as we can now search by display name, so should we just scrap synchronization altogether?

.... we removed 'new member'. Oh well, I fixed it in the acp and just made it auto-promote. No loss.
