I'm making a sig, listening to music, talking on MSN.
Usual stuff.
All of a sudden explorer.exe crashes on me. I think, no big, I can start it up from CTRL+ALT+DEL
New process, explorer.exe
Can't find it.
typed 'explorer'
Cant find it.

Help?
I rebooted twice, and it's not fixed yet. >_<

well if you can access task manager, you can sometimes use the 'run' app, in it type explorer and it should come back

hmmm, there is a start windows button on all keyboards in between the left control/alt button. maybe that will work?

i just opened system restore and checked the process exe name, it's called "rstrui.exe". try running that.

Have you tried explorer.exe for the new process rather than just explorer?

if you have messed around in msconfig and possibly removed it from loading at startup, it can cause explorer.exe to fuxx up
