So yeah. I've been looking at this PMP called an "Archos 604"

30 GB.
4.3" screen (PSP-size)
And you fill out the rest.
Beats an iPod Video's 2.5" screen. Less portability though.

And around $315.

Problem is, I don't have the money yet, or will for a while ( month or two, give or take).


I've also been looking at the Cowon A2, but its lack of ID3 tags turns me off. I needs my tags.


So, anyone out there own one of these two products? Just curious to see some user opinions.

And I'd really appreciate a comparison by someone who has held and used both, and is not a big reviewer (I've read reviews up and down!)

I am perfectly fine with this little pimpin thing.

I have a Cowon X5 and Im very satisfied with it. Lack of ID3 tags are annoying, but in the end, you organize your music yourself plus my mp3 player is very durable.

Well, first of all... if this the one I think you're talking about, they actually compare the size to portable dvd players... meaning it's pretty big, and not that portable... if you're planning on watching a lot of videos, go ahead.. but if you prefer to listen to music, go with a Zune, on an iPod, whatever suits you... or maybe a creative.

Well, I have a 60 GB iPod, and it's good because I need all the space (it can only hold half of my music anyway). Oh, and I'm the one who shows these kids how to dress, hun.

You might be thinking the Archos 704 WiFi. That thing's a monster. 7" screen! Not portable in the least.
This thing will fit in your hand. Portable enough for me to stick in a pocket.
