Good, you can die for it and I can use it. How does that sound? Unless you are planning to use it in your casket o.o They better have a line nearby and an outlet in there.

You guys gotta remember that as we advance in technology unless we advance in data compression our file sizes are probably going to be a lot bigger must say though 9.08gbps would secure us from any problem like that for a long time tongue.gif

I would be in heaven if I ever got that connection ohmy.gif

I pay for an 8mb connection but never get download speeds above 29kbp/s......which is 4 times slower then I got on my old 1mb connection.

This is why I am switching to cable happy.gif

    Fast connections ftw!

OC-768 supports rates of 40 gigabits per second. Which is a whopping 5 GIGABYTES per second.
9.08 gigabits per second is nothing compared to OC-768. 9.08 gigabits per second is only 1.135 gigabytes per second.

OC-768 is really used for internet however. OC-768 is really on INTRANET not internet, since it is usually used within a single or partner business network. This is due to the fact that not many other servers and computers have similar speeds to match, so it would be pointless for personal internet.

Technically though, the internet as we know it wouldn't really be true with Internet2's 9.08 gigabits per second, due to the fact that they didn't use a standard protocol, they used a modified one which was planted.

This won't come out for public use for a long time :\ But I do think it'll be absolutely useful for military purposes being that they need quick download speeds of large maps and such. But god... I just even want 1 mbps. I'm suffering with 500 kbps internet at college and it used to be even slower last semester. I just feel bad for those with dial up though :\

But seriously... that is sooooooooooo amazing.
