After being scared to death by the numerous movies featuring unfortunate travelers I don’t think that I would ever pick up a hitchhiker. It always makes me feel terrible when I am on the highway and pass somebody by in need of transportation.

So would you ever pickup a hitchhiker?

I don't ever really see it in England, certainly not in the area I'm in. At any rate no, I would never pick one up and I personally think that those wanting to be picked up are very stupid taking that kind of risk. They have no idea what kind of person has stopped to pick them up .

No, my grandpa did once when my grandma, mom, uncle and he were on a road trip. The hitchhiker pulled a knife on them.

No, never and I never will be a hitchhiker either no matter the costs... especially after my deviant behavior class >_< We learned about Outlaw motercycle gangs and how a lot of times for fun they'll pick up a female hitchhiker and gangrape her and dump her out somewhere in the middle of nowhere... or just kill her. :\ Scares the shit out of me.

EDIT: Oh yeah, depends on where I am. Newfoundland, sure... But I'd have to have a knife or something, just to boost my self confidence. Unless the guy didn't look fishy But this is NEWFOUNDLAND. Sure, I'll pick one or two up sooner or later.

i would only pick up a hitchhiker if they were physically injured or if they actually in dire need..

This kind of ties in with the trust topic... I wouldn't pick one up because I don't KNOW them or have any idea what they will do to me. && with the way I drive they probably wouldn't want to ride with me. Lolz.

And anyways, I wouldn't want some dirty old thing in my car. HAHHAHA.
