Half of what they learn will be outdated...that's bullshit.

If you learn fundamentals, they'll always be there. Network fundamentals have been around forever and still are...

    I disagree.

Computers will never surpass the human brain. Computers are limited to the chains of logic we code them in. The human brain has an infinite chain of logic. An insect has a 2000-3000 chain of logic. Fuzzy logic (found on your dishwasher) is a 5 step chain of logic.

They probably mean the number of people who can speak English in China will be more than any other country (only because of their population).

Nice mention for England in there, best country in the world. biggrin.gif

And where have I heard that music before? blink.gif Anybody know what it is?

the human brain has a limit, where a computer does not.

I hate to make an illegitimate reference but what about the cartoon: 'Gundam SEED (Destiny)' where in the future genetic enginering is possible which makes the brain and body more superior and capable?

They both have limits. Computers have limits too... duh? You can't go past how much space your HDD holds, the processor can only go so fast, etc.

Computers can only do as much as we program them to.

That's what I was thinking. The first bit feels like its aiming to make America feel as pathetic as possible. Though the last part, about technology increasing, wasn't suprising to me. If you look at around the late 1800's and early 1900's, they were going through an industrial revolution, which is similar to our technological revolution.

But you do understand that our learning process is only biological code, right? It is a genetic model pre-programmed into all humans. So who says that we cannot make a machine that does just that? Perhaps in which it can improve itself physically not just in memory?
We cannot expand on our capabilities of hardware. We can learn to an extent, but eventually our hardware will be out of date if we make machines able to learn beyond processes that we are capable of doing efficiently or at all.
Humans can only do what we are programmed to. DNA is the language. Learning is just a biochemical process.

Processors dont really have a limit. You can always overclock. And Intel is currently researching an 80 core chip... Thats f|_|cking crazy
