Congratulations Codexians!

It seems that our Wiki idea has become so popular that other sites like us are setting up Wiki's of their own. Another victory of innovation for Neocodex, as it seems we're pretty much a hub for unique ideas in our field!

To close this post off, I'd like to quote the following for emphasis:

So is this a good thing or are you being sarcastic? tongue.gif

A bit of both actually... I'm very proud of Neocodex in that it's able to come up with innovative ideas on-the-fly, but also a bit annoyed that the ideas are only being exploited, but really it doesn't mean that it will work for other sites.

See, Neocodex's innovations have always been tailored to a specific need -- in other words, we don't just add random shiat to our site and expect a positive outcome from it, we actually do a fair amount of research beforehand. I'm not a good friend of spontaneity as I like research and development. biggrin.gif

True. The competitor that comes out with something first is always more successful in the end biggrin.gif We aren't lazy like the other sites so that's why Neocodex is #1 thumbsup.gif

Not copied, just sort-of borrowed the idea we had and seems kind of fishy. Sent you who it was via. MSN.

Fair enough, however it seemed like it was happening with a few other things (when Chem was 3vo), such as the DHTML menus (which the format was exactly copied from us, not just the idea taken), the short lived IP security system, etc.... but I suppose those are unrelated cases since Chem split from 3vo. wink.gif

Eh I understand why it seems that way, I'm not saying they haven't erm.. used similar ideas before but this time it wasn't intentional. tongue.gif

Just thought I'd mention that normally mods can't see admin IP's, yet I can see then in the author/edit bits beside the name. Don't know if this was accidental or not.

I would hope that we could trust people who make it to a moderator position to see an IP address...
