I was wondering if anyone will be buying ATI's new video card? I have a 1900 XT right now, does anyone think it would be worth it to upgrade?

Most benchmarks say 8800gts/gtx owns the 2900xt but people counter by making an excuse about the drivers. Very expensive and you'll need a new psu so I won't get it tongue.gif Will be getting a 7900gs, by the time dx10 becomes mainstream I'll be able to afford a new card (probably 8600gts)

I may get it in July when the C2D price drops, the prices on this should drop a bit, and the 'driver support' will be better off. Whichever card gets me the best bang for my buck. Right now its an 8800 GTS.

The only thing in my way is my mom. "We don't need this, our computer that we have now works perfectly fine."
I'm trying to explain to her why an old P4 running at 2.6 GHz, a 6200 OC, and 1.5 GB of RAM can barely handle any games. Also our HDD is filled.

I'm loving those July 22nd Price cuts. A Quad core for 266 is just amazing o.o

you have to consider how nvidia cheats on their image quality, if you turned it up to high quality in the drivers it would make the 2900 seem a lot better
