When one account gets frozen on a computer....do all of the others get frozen as well? I am reluctant to use some of the programs availble as other people in my house have accounts the same computer and I dont want to ruin it for them.

yea i think so...its called chain ice...maybe you should state it on your neopets profile that you do share your computer with other people in your house...ive seen that done many times

I think I was chain Iced in the past but I really need to know for definate whether every account would be Iced or not.

Would putting that in my profile really help....even if I was caught using an aber for example?

Nick, unfortunately if the cheating is severe enough, then TNT shall inflict a chain ice. This can be done by tracking accounts using the same IP address as your account.

There is a high risk of this happening, especially with the selection of programs this site has to offer.

Thats really annoying lol...if I ask nicely do you think they will not chain ice XD haha

I'll have to use my Girlfriends computer then with a new account.....if I do this then basically I can only use that account on that computer right? To avoid my mum and sister getting their accounts Iced.

Honestly, what is it with you and that program? Lawl.

IP Hiders can work to a limit. I mean most times they can be seen through. Using a proxy with high anonymity does the exact same function, and you don't have to have an extra program wasting space from your HDD.

Um stating on your lookup that other players are on the same IP will NOT do anything. They have stated in editorials that they never read those messages, and use their own methods to determine if you're the same person or a shared computer. Unfortunately they still get that very wrong, like when they froze me and 3 of my flatmates last year (we were all legit, but they thought I wasn't so frozen everyone on the IP).

That sucks, I have never been chained iced, just frozen twice and I think I pretty much deserved it both times. Maybe one of your flatmates did something to get you all iced and didn't say anything?

They wouldn't be able to chain freeze if all the accounts were being operated on using a separate proxy for each, would they?

They don't care whether or not they iced the accounts that don't belong to you but were logged in through your computer. If you're trying to protect your family's accounts, I suggest not cheating on that IP. thumbsup.gif

That's definately true. I logged into my friends' accounts to help them get an avatar. I was frozen(even though I was innocent), so they froze my friends' accounts because they had been on my IP.

Well, technically you aren't allowed to help your friend by going on his account at all, as it goes against the rules...

Well I know, but I did it anyway. I don't think I was frozen for that anyway. I was one of the 3 flatmates Kitsune described(assuming you're describing the incident at the end of last summer, Ange).

Well, I was chain iced once including my account with TONS of stuff on it, (actually, I think it stemmed from that account...) because of a scam a friend and I were trying to pull about... 5 years ago. It sucked. Lost everything.
However, from using a Money Tree grabber and auto refresher - like 8 different accounts all on one computer - I only got one frozen that I can think of.
    Just depends I guess.
And really, a lot of it can be avoided with moderation. If you're not running things at an impossible rate that a person couldn't actually do it at, then chances are you'll be safe. I was running an auto refresher at like 5 refreshes a second all night while I slept for about 2 weeks when I got frozen the last time.

Needless to say, I was asking for it.
