My take is lovely and interesting (read: lengthy).

There were parts when J.K. seriously slapped us in the face and screamed "Children's book! Children's book!".
The epilogue, whenever people started ranting on about love (that final battle with Voldemort), yeah... No wonder... She made it seem like the end was justice when really I just couldn't see it. But I guess the younger readers were smiling happily, huh?
One of the things that really messed with me was when she killed off Lupin and Tonks. And no it's not because Lupin was one of my favorite characters (though he is!). It's because she made him all happy (most likely the happiest he's been since his school years) and gave him a tiny little metamorphing son and then BAM! The man is DEAD. We don't even know who killed him. And then BOOM! Tonks dies off stage, too. And she has the NERVE to leave a little orphan Teddy behind. That was MEAN.
But then Rowling makes me feel so sad with that scene in the woods when Harry is about to die and he's talking to everyone from that generation long ago that I (nearly) forgive her. I must say I enjoyed how Narcissa displayed that, deep down, she's no more than a concerned mother. Heh. Yet another children's book lesson about how a mother's love is one of the most powerful loves of all... But, yeah, it was sweet.
I did enjoy the Ron/Hermione romance. Oddly enough I don't really like this couple but they did have a seven year build up. After so much rushed romance in book six, I was happy to find something that did make some sense. (Sorry, H/Hr fans but c'mon, Rowling herself said that it's been pretty evident since book four!)
...And, yeah, if I knew anyone named "Albus Severus" I would tease them for as long as I lived. But, seriously, did Ginny get ANY say in the naming process? Albus Severus, James, and Lily = Harry related. No one's gets named Fred? And Harry just forget all about poor Sirius... And Rose Weasley is OK but what the %{:content:}amp;# is up with Hugo? (I hope I don't offend and Hugo's.) And was it Scorpio Malfoy or Scorpious? And wouldn't it be ironic if were a Pisces or something? Heh...lucky Teddy...it's a cute name (Though at 19 it might become a bother)
OK, Rowling says she's going to publish some kind of encyclopedia follow up so I'm waiting on that. And she hasn't sworn on any of her children that she won't publish some back stories (If she makes a book about the Marauders I swear I'll pre order instead of being lazy and going to WalMart day after) so...let's hope for the best!
Uh...my spoiler cut is very long...sorry.
