Whats this pant devil attractor. I hear it attracts the pant devil to your inventory. But why the heck would i want to do that?? And does it really attract it?

Any defence magic or weapon item with a worth of over ten million np will attract the Pant Devil to your inventory, and get you the ITTPD avatar.

cept he steals your shit, so you have to make sure that you have a lot of crap items in your inventory also.

And wtf, this section of the boards was blocked. How do I block it again. :<

No no, it's purpose is, that if you have the attractor, if the pant devil comes, he will take the attractor rather than anything else.

Thus, if you are going for the I taunt the pant devil avatar and have a very expensive item in your inventory but don't want the pant devil to take it, then you should have the attractor in your inventory so he won't steal the expensive item.

It doesn't increase the likelihood of the pant devil coming, just makes sure that if it does, it won't take anything but the attractor.

Ohhh.
Misunderstood. Never heard of this attractor hoo-hah.

I think they got a few too many angry 10 year olds who had lost their precious items so they made something available, but didn't make it well known to most (which explains why you guys hadn't heard of it).

and the fact that I havn't played neo since...when I was on the contest team.

I wonder what collateral is now a days for one of those items you need to get that avatar. I remember having to pay 2 mill last time I got it but that was quite some time ago.

yeah, i always like to keep a few pant devil attractors in my SDB for whenever i'm not gonna be on, but leave my trainers running.

it's not 100% chance that he will steal the attractor, but the chance is noticeably increased. if you carry more than 1 though. he will almost assuredly grab one of the two.

I'm surprised it goes for such a cheap price when you consider it could save you millions tongue.gif

There's quite a large amount on the market, but yeah you'd think it'd be higher, but that would defeat the purpose now wouldn't it? Save losing one expensive item only to lose another expensive item tongue.gif

hehe I guess. When I said I thought it would be more expensive I did just mean a few thousand though....not in the hundreds of thousands or anything tongue.gif

I don't think I would have the guts to go for that avatar. I would be so gutted if I lost the 10 mill item unsure.gif

The I taunt the pant devil avatar is a reason, you have to have it in there and refresh like 10 times or so. That's why it's called I taunt the pant devil avatar.
Other than that, people might restock for quite some time and not want to lose anything before they can get to putting the item up for trade or in shop.

I've heard many people say they've got an item in a random event then the next page over, the pant devil comes along and takes it before they even had the chance to put the item anywhere. I've even seen a screenie where the two events happened on the same page 1we8.gif

OUCH...talk about unlucky =(

But hey...at least they got the avatar?

yeah, it's pretty much a MUST HAVE if you either

a: use a ABer (and don't want to lose profit)
b: use the dice-a-rooer. (since you can win neggs from it)
c: use the cliffhanger autoplayer (since you can win PBs and Neggs from REs)

Thanks for that Arthritis but we already established that tongue.gif

plus in my opinion it would not defeat the purpose of it if it was slightly more expensive...like I said....I don't mean alot more. If you were going for the Avvie then all you have to do is put 49 of those in your inventory plus the 10 mill item and you are pretty much guaranteed to be safe.

not Noitidart though =X

yeah, a raise to around 10k would be good, since i don't think anyone would specifically have those in their inventory to protect something that's a buyable

49's really...

If I ever got some 10 million item I probably would put 48 or so of those attractors in my inventory. And refresh indefinitely. I have this fear that I wouldn't be able to raise up enough money ever again. XD

Or maybe I'm just too much of a packrat to want to part with so many points a second time. happy.gif;;
