On behalf of the entire staff at Neocodex, we would like to wish everyone a Merry Christmas and/or a Happy Holidays! We were planning on changing the look of the board in light of Christmas, but when installing our Christmas skin we encountered all kinds of problems and it didn't quite turn out as we had hoped. Don't let this get you down though, as the board already seems cheery enough given the increased activity.
We have all kinds of stuff still planned for the site, or stuff which has already been completed:Items Database
A brief update on the items database: the server part of it is done, and the client pricer part is done. At this moment, we are going to be testing out the pricer on one of the Private Member programs (can't mention which one obviously), just to make sure we've taken all the kinks out of the system. Hopefully, the system will be ready for full scale use very soon.
For those who aren't particular about the mumbo jumbo of the whole operation, best to just nod for now and read upcoming news posts. 
Neopets Tools?
As you may have noticed, a new menu item has appeared on the top of the forum called "Neopets Tools". To reaffirm our current focus, we will be taking steps to put Neocodex back on the high ground in terms of technology. What this means is that we will be developing various tools for the average Neopets user to use right on the site, to make things more convenient. The first addition to this set of tools is the "Neopets reQuest" modification, created by Laser Wave. Basically, what it does is it allows you to request shop links to items to help you out on Faerie Quests, or it allows you to submit shop links to help those out looking for items. There is a points system involved with this, so the more you contribute, the more points you get. As for the meaning of these points, we are yet to standardize a points system for the entire board, but something is being planned for the future (I may have hinted at IBStore a couple of news posts ago
). One more thing I should mention is that a notification system for the reQuests modification is planned, and will allow you to enable or disable notifications from the modification.I just want to also take this opportunity to thank Laser Wave for helping work on these modifications for us. It is much appreciated.
Some upcoming "tools" are: Neopets Trading Post (will explain this in even more detail a few days after Christmas), a Neocodex Shop Wizard that runs from our items database, and more!
