Alright. I have 3 huge concerns that I'd best feel comfortable sharing with you guys more then anyone else. As much as it is embarrassing to discuss this with you guys, I hope you can help. sad.gif

1) I am a rather short person for my age. At my school, I am a semi-clown. So I like to make people laugh, though only at the right moment. If I am going to be honest here, I am also going have to say that at times I can be annoying, though I try to stop. Anyways, I always do my homework and study for tests. Unless it's the odd time where I am busy, I will not do my homework, though I always study for tests. Anyways, whenever the people I hang out with or my so-called friends do not decide to do their homework, they sometimes come to me. This one kid usually asks my to photocopy my homework. He is quite popular so he gets to party every weekend with the hottest chicks, and I mean HOT! I give him the homework, and I sometimes give others the homework and he calls me a bitch for doing others work. I am like fine, I don't want to be known that way so how about you give me something this time. He says he will give me a dollar. For all the homework he has copied, that's not even worth it. I asked if he can invite me to one party of his. He laughs and tells me to 'stfu'. In other words, it would be an embarrassment for him to bring me and he is ashamed of me. Since I am Arabian, my religion is Muslim. Therefore I cannot drink and my parents don't trust me to go out on weekends and party where alcohol will be available. I convinced my parents that if they let me, I will not drink. They trusted me. The problem is no one invites me. I asked one guy, but he laughed and said no one would want me there. I feel like I am someone who sticks to his studies and when someone doesn't feel like doing their homework because they need to party, they can just come to me to get it. Sitting at home on weekends can be very boring and I am graduating in a year and a half. I also can't have sex until I am married. sad.gif Though I want something. I want to at least do something to hot a chick. As much as this sounds insulting to any girl here, I am sorry, but it's what a guy needs, lol. It's really what everyone talks about. Today we had a quiz and my friend asked me for the homework and his exact words where, "Hey you little bitch, hook it up with the homework. Lets go photocopy it". I felt insulted and I said "What are you going tog I've me? Invite me to your party?" Once again he laughed and just kept asking me. Of course he probably failed the small quiz, but now he's mad at me. What do I say to go to parties? How do I get someone to come up to me and say, "Hey man, we got a party going on this weekend you gonna come?". It's all I want and I just don't know what to do. sad.gif I am not embarrassed by many things. I'm not some like loner, loser, kid or anything. I do so much for people (homework, sometimes giving them stuff like food when they don't got) and I get nothing in return. It's like karma doesn't exist. What do I do to get invited, guys? sad.gif

2) I took a cooking class. It's only the basics and stuff though I didn't take it to learn to cook. I get hungry in the day and just wanted to make stuff to eat, plus it was an easy class. Anyways, I've known this girl since grade 9. I like her, though I don't want to go out with her. I just want to you know, get together and do stuff, haha. I like her enough to go out with her, but I don't want to go out with her because then I have to hang out with her friends. I just want her to be comfortable being with me if were to ask out to go somewhere. What do I say? Is there a way I can tell that she may have feeling for me? Her and I are cooking partners. I was just thinking maybe when I am not busy I should just ask her if she wants to do anything on a weekend. What do you think?

3) I got an interview at the busiest McDonald's in my area today and I got the job, woot! Well, McDonald's isn't really a place that people will say is a good job, lol. Though I don't care much anymore, as long as I got income to afford my designer clothing and such. Anyways, anyone else here work at McDonald's? Since it is so fast, I don't want to mess up and get fired. It's my second job I have ever had and I don't want to be slow. I want to keep this job. I just hope I won't be quick enough. Any tips? Will they train me so that I will hardly make any mistakes?

Hope you guys can answer those 3 questions.

I really appreciate it,
Muse.

    1) Anybody who treats you like that is not your friend. They're just using you and you're getting nothing in return. If I were you, I just wouldn't give them your homework to copy. You've got nothing to lose from it and you can actually keep some self-respect.

It sounds to me like you should take up some new hobbies to get some real friends who don't treat you like shit and use you. Think of what things you like doing and see if you can find any groups or something for them. Even a study group, since you're the one who actually does your work, where you'll probably meet people similar to you. tongue.gif

    2) Just ask her if she wants to go see a movie or something. It can't hurt. tongue.gif Or if you and her have a mutual friend, you could try getting some hints on whether she likes you from them. tongue.gif

    3) I have no idea on this one. biggrin.gif

    1) Thnaks Laser-Wave. Though it's kind of harder then that. Im not a loser and I am not too popular. I am like in the middle. And leaving just like that is kind of hard. If I leave, I know I will never party before I graduate. I am not really that big, so I can stand up to too many people either. Even if I worked out, my genes are that I am short and skinny. The point is I want to party and I don't know how to get invited. sad.gif

    2) Yeah, I'll ask her if she wants to go out and do something one weekend. Thanks. Though any tips to tell if she likes me? I don't got a mutual friend in between or anything. I think she might like me, but maybe she is just a good friend and I am halusinating. blink.gif

    3) I know I'll do great with that advice! Thanks buddy. tongue.gif

You haven't got anywhere by what you're already doing, so obviously you need to change something. You have more chance of partying with brand new friends (actual friends, not users) than the current group of people who you're trying to impress. Sometimes you just have to take risks or you get nowhere...

It's hard to describe really. tongue.gif You can usually tell from how she acts around you whether she likes you or not. Things like eye contact and facial expressions are usually good ways to tell.

    Muse.

    1) Tell that kid to suck a dick and fuck off. I mean if you're gonna do some prick's hw, you might as well get paid a descent amount of money. Mabey you can start an underground business. It'll be like a part time job.
What that retard is doing to you is bullying, and you shouldn't take that.
As for the parties, why don't you just throw your own party?, with people you know, and then start inviting people little by little. If the word spreads that your parties are hot, everyone will come.
But, if you wanna go to that kid's parties, then you might wanna think hard about it and say to yourself: will I really have a good time?,Are these really the people i should hang out with?, Can they even be considered my friends? Chances are, if your not with people you can relate to a have fun with, it would be a utter waste of time.

2)You should just have friendly conversations with her and slowy start getting to know her better. Ask her about her likes and dislikes and the little things that matter. Also try to make her laugh and have a good time. But don't try too hard or else you'll just make a fool of yourself.
Once you've built a pretty good relationship, you should ask her out. Simple.

    3) I'm not so sure about this one but, I'm pretty sure they have someone teach you how to do everything, cuz my friend works there and he had to do that when another one of my friends joined with him.

I hope that helps, us Muslim brothers gotta stick together. thumbsup.gif

    1) As Laser mentioned, those aren't your friends. A friend is someone who treats you with respect and likes you for the way you are. Find some new friends, man. Besides doing homework, what do you do for fun? Find people who have similar interests and spark up a conversation. Whether your short, skinny, goofy-looking, that crap doesn't matter if you don't let that get to you. If you want to get invited to those parties, you got to have confidence if yourself, else everybody can see right through you.

Are you willing to drink alcohol just to make friends? dry.gif Be yourself and people will give you the respect you deserve. I've been to only one party since I've been in high school, but that doesn't mean I'm not "popular" or "cool." In fact, I have many friends, but these friends have the same interests as I do, respect me, and like me for who I am, not who I want to be. What's so hip about being "popular" anyway?

    2) If she's your friend, she'll understand. Ask her if she'd like to go eat lunch with you one day or hang out at the park.

    3) Take it easy! Everybody feels the same way with a new job, you'll get use to it in no time.

Alright, I'll see what I can do about the partying thing. Also, she laughs when I try to be funny. Today we where making some Cheese and Jalapino bread or something. She was playing with mine and I said "WTF, haha! What is this? There's 2x more Jalapinos then cheese!" Anyways, when I try to be funny she usually laughs, is that a sign, haha? blink.gif tongue.gif

Personally, I never get invited out either. If some kids want to have their "invite only" exclusive parties, fuck 'em. I'll go to my mates open house gatherings.
About the twat using you for homework... I'm a vindictive asshole, so I'd start feeding him bad answers until he got the message.

Part deux, just ask her out. If you're worried about coming across too interested, add "as friends" to the question.

Do what you believe, not just because "it's your religion".

this is exactly what i wanted to say. if it comes to the point that your religion becomes a chore and not something you believe in, i think you should look elsewhere for "spiritual guidance" (or not anywhere at all tongue.gif). IMO, there is no point in following those structured lifestyle rules unless you personally believe theyy are right.

    1. in response to your first question, LW and joe nailed it. this guy is not your friend, and by continuing to give him the work and answers, you're only further enabling him to bully you around. even if he gave you something in return, it's still unacceptable how he treats you, and with your situation i think you'd be better off just staying away from him completely. you cannot trade ANYTHING for friendship, so get past the teen-movie standard...those parties really aren't all that fun. besides, if he did invite you to one of the parties - what kind of people do you expect do be there? probably assholes just like him.

    2. just ask her out man tongue.gif

    3. this question was kind of anti-climactic tongue.gif

    1) This guy must suck, you need to tell him to stfu, care about yourself and let him get fucked. Don't get down, if he call you a bitch in front of everyone say: "At last I'm not the one who'll end up without a job because I can't even clean the street. You fucking homo". No offense, but if you lived here in Brazil and this happened, mate, if you said that to him, he would be completely fucked lol. Btw, that's true, you'll make your homework and become someone, while he'll have his stupid parties and end up on the streets... Plus he's only exploring you.

    2) Well, ask her to go to the movie theater, or if there's some kind of special event there, take her(Example: I'll ask the girl that I like to go to a ferris wheel[it's an event brought by a beer company tongue.gif]with me on the 27th...)

    3) No idea, all I know is that here a McDonald's worker gains 1 dollar per hour D=

About the religion thing, muslims are generally really rigid, isn't that easy, they usually pray 5 times per day in the direction of Meca... Plus, I wouldn't say that loud, a radical muslim(not being racist, but that's true) can kill you claiming about the Jihad...(the fight agains't the bad emotions(pardon me if I'm wrong) and agaisn't those who are a menace to the religion...)

Got to watch out for those radical muslims, I heard they can read your mind when you sleep. ohmy.gif

Behold a mighty muslim extremist in all his glory!!

P.S. You shouldn't let them stop you saying what you want, otherwise they win and free speech is dead. Damn terrorists, damn them all to hell!! (or whatever the secular equivalent is, probably France or something)

*totally only read the first post*

    1. Stand up for your self mannn! If some fool said shit like that to me, I'd say something like, "What the fuck dog? How the fuck are you gonna talk to me like and then ask for a favor. Nah, FUCK you." If he does anything, just stand up for your self.. that should atleast gain some respect from him, or make him hate you.. but fuck that fool. Act like you are better than everybody else, but don't take it over the edge.

Pompous asshole make friends quicker than the shy kid who lets people walk all over them. You already have something going though.. the funny part. Change the way you act to be a little more "in-ya-face" but keep the humor.

    2. Myspace? Get her Myspace or Facebook or whatever and tell her she is cute. It's always easier on the interwebz.. haha. And then she'll get the hint, either say it back, or not. If not then drop it.. if she says something back, then talk to her about going out sometime and get them digits.

    3. wh00 moneyz.

Well...everything everyone else has said is pretty good advice.

    1. I know exactly what you're expierencing....I had the same thing happen when I was at my highschool. Just don't give them your homework or help them. They will stop asking you eventually. I don't suggest giving them the wrong answers though, since you've admitted you don't think you can stand up to anyone.

For the partying thing, I really don't think you'd actually enjoy the parties. For my school, the whole point of parties was to drink and have sex. Since you've said that your religion doesn't allow you to drink, it won't be that fun for you. If you drive, you'll end up becoming the constant Designated Driver, which basically means all the popular kids will you use like they do now for your homework.

Now about the whole hooking up with a hot girl thing, that's something that you should consider carefully. Do you think these girls are hot just for thier looks or popularity, or for their personality? Obviously you like the girl from your cooking class at least a little bit. Just be patient, there is always time for doing stuff like that.

Another thing about the girl from your cooking class....although people have said to wait until you get to know her, don't wait too long! I've had guys do this to me before(where they act like they like you, but never admit it), even when you flirt back. I'm not saying ask her to be your girlfriend or anything, but just casually ask her to go do something. I wouldn't suggest the movies though, try to come up with something creative and interesting. If you know what she likes to go do, try to plan something around that. If you want a little more assurance that she likes you before you ask her, watch how she acts around you. Laughing at your jokes is a good sign. If you ever stop to talk to her in the halls/after class and she has friends with her, she how she acts. If she likes you, often her friends will leave, especially if they know she likes you. And if she is very shy, she might not talk as much as you'd expect her to and be more subtle about flirting. When you're talking to her, try to either talk about something she likes, or start asking questions. Also be sure to follow where she wants the conversation to go, even if it's not where you exactly wanted it.

So yeah......good luck with everything! I'm sure you'll do fine at McDonald's!

Mmm a good test is to make a slightly corny joke. Not in bad taste, just not a very good joke - if she genuinely laughs, she likes you wink.gif Way to tell if it's genuine is the lines on the sides of her eyes will show up, people squint a little when they are truly amused. A fake smile will only have very faint lines.

If she's naturally squinty, though, take your conclusions with a grain of salt tongue.gif
