It doesn't ask about your beliefs.

Well done. You can copy text from a website written to give a quick intro to Masonry.
By that definition Buddhists would not be admitted, yet oddly enough, they are. Curious indeed...

i think there's a difference on the spiritual scale between buddhism and atheism rolleyes.gif

    No, there isn't.
Neither an atheist, nor a buddhist believe in any Gods.

I'm not twisting definitions, I'm using them properly.
It's not my fault you're wrong...

On a scale of belief in a higher being, there isn't a difference. Being spiritual doesn't necessarily link to believing in a god or gods.

Although technically, both Mahayana and Theravada buddhists believe in the Buddha-God form. In theory, you could say they believe in a god, as praying to Buddha has been considered praying to God. It depends though. Some schools will teach that the Buddha was merely a man, and others will say that praying to him will bring you closer to enlightenment, which is clearly worship in some form. Make of that what you will, I don't know what I was trying to accomplish by posting this; I just wanted to put it out there.

Then you might want to make it the subject of your posts in future.

You said: atheism precludes spirituality (albeit not nearly as well phrased).
Brandon said, and I implied: atheism does not necessarily preclude spirituality.

That doesn't sound like the same thing to me...
