As the program runs, it submits data back to Neocodex and that's how it helps

if more users use the programs that add to the data and that data is continually updated then yeah sounds to me like that is exactly what it would become

The sheer number of searches that would be required to keep every item in the database listed at its current minimum price would render the server inaccessable.

It's been there for ages.
http://items.neocode.../api/lookup.xml
The input is just encrypted right now with sessions and encoding but that is easily removable to accept object IDs through the URL with some kind of delimeter.

http://items.neocodex.us/api/req.xml
(URL fuxed, one sec, finding correct one)

Yeah I meant one that isn't amazingly complicated to get information out of.

It automatically communicates with the server once your shop is priced. Rest assured, all it sends us is the pricing for the items you have priced (manually priced items do not get updated in the database).
What do you have in mind? Passing object IDs in the URL isn't that complicated.

Just search by item name would do for now, just like the current one but outputting in xml.
(if you just use regex to accept only alphanumeric, spaces, -, /, (, ) and % for input I think that covers all the characters in item names)

Hmm, yeah. I will also make it accept object ID for future purposes, but I am alright with item name.

May as well add shop ids and rarities searching for when you get around to getting those in the database too while you're at it.

When you click on one of the owners in the list at the bottom it automatically adds their username to your clipboard btw, so you can just paste it to find them.
