If any of you know, IPB has this neat keyboard shortcut that Hawk originally showed me where you can press alt+s and the post you are working on will be submitted for you. This allows you to not have to click the add reply button or have to tab into it. It's pretty convenient.

Ever since the release of certain versions of Firefox, I haven't been able to use the feature and didn't know why. Originally I had asked on the IPS forums on how to fix this error and got some responses which were not helpful. You can check out the thread here.

In any case, if you were wondering how to regain this functionality, here are the steps you need to take:

1. about:config
2. search for "ui"
3. Change ui.key.chromeAccess to 5
4. Change ui.key.contentAccess to 4

These steps have been taken from Quillz on the IPS website and have just been posted here for easier viewing.

Hope this helps . Maybe I've even showed you a feature of the board which you didn't know about before .

It also allows for the other hotkeys too!
Like bold, and underline, and italics.

Yeah there are some other keyboard shortcuts too . I should make a list somewhere .

And this isn't a fix by me...it was already a part of the board that I'm just letting you know of incase you didn't know before.

Also, there is a rich text editor you can use to get some WYSIWYG goodness .


For users on a mac, this shortcut to post will be ctrl+s.
