Especially since we don't allow the discussion of warez here.

I was going to reply with something similar to this but I figured somebody else would
Everybody does it. A recent study showed 95% of teens download pirated (Arrh!) music. It's the way of the future, and media providers should utilize it better than it is doing.
Let's not talk about that now though. Some software companies deserve the money to work on products.

Did you get the file from this site? If it is it won't be a harmful virus. It'll be a virus that is need to hook the program to the net.

Not possible. All the needed files are from trusted sources and all the programs here are scanned and looked over before they are actually up for download.

You don't get viruses from installers that are not infected with viruses
Best anti-virus is to right clik + scan with *insert antivirus name here* before opening any exe files you're not sure are clean.

Way to state the obvious... For some reason I doubt he knew the stuff he was downloading was infected.

Personally I use Kaspersky when I am on Windows, and obviously I don't need a virus scanner when I am on Linux.

Anyways, back when I used an anti virus I used Bitdefender... it treats your computer pretty well.

Shit, I know exactly what you mean. I turned real time protection off anyway and just scan occasionally.

Pretty much.
The only way you can really get a virus is if you download like GTA4Installer.exe

You would know about not pirating software, never having programmed in a pirated version VB6. Right?
When VB6 was the coding standard here, the piracy of VB6 was never implied and none of the programmers that NeoCodex recruited ever pirated VB6! They all shelled out hundreds of dollars just to code programs for Neopets, as should anyone with any sanity!
Yes I really feel the sense of anti-piracy we, as programmers, have here with nuances of anti-piracy everywhere such as:
Shabba's Signature (waffles.fm is most definitely not a private community for torrents)

I don't believe I said that I've never pirated software so I fail to see your point.
