For some reason it won't let me sign on and I get this:

I tried reinstalling it and rebooting my computer. It's been doing this since last night when I got home.

Get this error when my Uni internet craps out and there's nothing I can do about it until it fixes.

Which is no help, but I wanted to highlight the hopelessness of your situation.

Because I'm nice like that tongue.gif.

Use Pidgin.

Makes no difference as it connects to the MSN servers. If the MSN program is having trouble connecting to the servers then Pidgin won't be any better. Though I agree that Pidgin is much nicer smile.gif.

Takes up less screen real estate. I also like adium tongue.gif.

But that's only for a mac tongue.gif.

I'm pretty positive that it's just a port issue. Try to troubleshoot it threw the option given with the error. If that doesn't work you may need to manually go into your router / firewall and open it up.

I use Pidgin on my Linux box, but only because Ubuntu doesn't support MSN directly. ( and aMSN sucks real bad )

i agree with you on that..it's just port issue or connectivity issue. Restart your modem or router and try again.

Sometimes you just need to delete a folder msn makes, it usually has your email address as xml file in it.

I cant remember the name of it atm.

Well, he's fixed it now, so your oh-so-helpful suggestion was somewhat redundant.
