Why would you need a spife? blink.gif A spoon already can do what a knife can...

I have seen a fork/knife before somewhere though, not sure what you'd call that. Knork? Foife? I think Lord Nelson had one.

For what?
When those pesky chips just aren't flat enough? Or when you just have try some of those yummy-lookin' nails?

Silly. It's so you can mash your potato and then eat it with the same implement.

Oooooooooor to tenderise meat, then eat that.

The possibilities are endless *nod*.

Great xkcd tongue.gif.

a spoon cannot cut steak.

a knife cannot help you ingest soup.

a spife could do both.

I am all for sporks, spifes, and fifes.

THink of it. WIth a fife you could CUT and EAT the steak WITH THE SAME UTENSIL!

You'll still need two utentils to cut the steak unless it's superglued to your plate....

in that case, i also motion that plates be made with small "teeth" embedded in them

like this:

but slightly pointier, and on a plate.

use your teeth to bite it so that it won't move around when you are cutting it.

i'm telling you!! i toothed plate is the answer, just press it down hard enough on the plate, and not only will it hold it in place, but it will help further tenderize and spread any sauces deeper into the meat.
