Okay, so I've formatted my computer and everything is working beautifully so far. Now, I'm wondering what I should be installing since I essentially have nothing installed at the moment.

Um, basically I'm looking for programs, virus protection, etc.

Windows MEdia playter 11 or 10 or whatever is out right now (10 i believe)

Photoshop I will install when I feel virus-protected enough to torrent it.

CCleaner (Crap Cleaner) is a pretty good tool to clean out temp/unused files -- http://www.ccleaner.com/ -- recommended

I think having AVG and ZoneAlarm is quite enough , so when you get them, you can torrent obtain your photoshop

get mcafee, nod32 or avg (im crntly runing avg and couldnt be happier)

get AVIcodec its a multimedio file analyser and tells u what codec u need for a movie/music file and gives a link 2 it so u dont have 2 instal codec paks which usually have the 1 codec u need+ 50 other codecs u prolly wont ever need

It's really fast, but the startup takes FOREVER, but once it gets going its God.
I can't get firefox to work, and i haven't tried to use any programs yet...
I need to download a firewall and virusscan...

And on this shitty computer with a 70GB hard drive I now have 22 GB left.
I've been cleaning up this computer for about 6 hours altogether in 2 days. Runs amazingly!

I basically did this .
Cept for i didn't download porn, it was surf the internetz with 0 virusscan or firewall assistance.
Seriousley within 30 minutes my computer was 100% fucked.

But now it is better then before.
