"New" Focus
Neocodex is returned to its old focus of providing great content and letting the community take care of itself. For some time now, we have been trying to bolster the community into activity and all of our efforts have been futile. Our goal now is to let the community develop on its own while we provide some really awesome content to our users. Neocodex has some of the most talented neopets players on the internet and we really have a lot of potential within us. It's time to realize that potential and make Neocodex legendary once again.
Programs
Our program section is in shambles. Almost 100% of the programs don't work. It is a terrible thing for the site's reputation for a user to download a program and then find out it doesn't work. I personally am going to keep a much closer eye on the programs for Neocodex in the future. Right now, SL is working on cleaning up the downloads section of all programs which don't work. He's PMing the programmers about the issues and removing the programs from the downloads section altogether. I don't mind having only 3 programs but those programs should work flawlessly.
Programming team
Raui has gone ahead and demoted all inactive programmers which didn't meet a certain criteria. This will ensure that the programmers on the team are those who are actually working hard for this site and will put a certain value to this rank since no one can hold it forever.
Staff relations
I have put Pyke in charge of staff relations. He is the best man for the job and you all work very well with him already. His duties will include creation of some tutorials for moderators on how to moderate the forums, training of new moderators, developing a metric to see how well a moderator is doing, creating incentives for the staff and making their job a little more fun and worthwhile. I may have left some out here but Pyke knows his responsibilities. He is essentially your go to guy for anything staff related
.PHP Mods
Noit is working hard on some PHP modifications. He is almost done with his neoalerts mod which I previewed yesterday. It is looking awesome and there are so many things you can enable to be alerted for. He is going to get Laser Wave to work with him too. These two guys are our main people for PHP modifications. After the neoalerts mod, Noit will be releasing the trading post on Neocodex along with some other ones. The goal here is to provide content not only to the cheaters but also to the legit players as well.

There are a few things which I didn't post here because I wanted to save them for a later news post but we have some things in store for you guys which we hope you will like. Up until now, those who had skills in programming or graphic design could directly contribute to the website but we are going to be coming out with something in the future which we hope will allow everyone who wishes to, regardless of their skill, contribute to the website.
