I just got stung by a bee... and I can't find the stinger, any advice? I've already tried scraping the drivers liscense across the area, I don't think that did anything... blink.gif

tongue.gif I'd suggest getting some ice on it; whenever that happens to me, I always cool it off...the area around it gets kinda 'whitish', so it's easier to see. Either that or wait for it to get inflamed enough to see it. If there is no inflamed area, the stinger might not be in at all o.o

Maybe it was a fat, hairy wasp?

Leave it. Use it as a conversation device at parties.

I got stung when I was very young and never removed the stinger. Most that will happen is that it will eventually dissolve into your bloodstream and be removed by the kidneys later.

    Srsly though? Srsly?

    I mean

'Yeah, I got in a fight with a bee.

    I lost sad.gif'

doesn't sound to dig-worthey to me...

Edit: Oh sorry to spam up your topic, I have no advice to give except getting a really bright light on the area to see if you can find it. I wouldn't worry too much though, our bodies can generally sort stuff out pretty good by itself.

Are you sure the wasp didn't bite you? Their bites feel the same as getting stung - I was bitten twice on my hand by a wasp once.

No idea... I was just watering my mom's flowers because she is out of town and I batted the thing out of my hair... next thing I know I feel a sting and a bug buzzing around there. I dropped the watering thingy-ma-jig and ran in. I don't even know if it was a wasp. 1we8.gif Could be.

I iced it and still couldn't see it. 1we8.gif Whatever, it will fall out eventually, or be absorbed, whatever works.

I know, I'd just rather get it out now. It is like a sliver, you don't want it in you, but your body can handle it. At least it is on my shin and not my hands. 1we8.gif

Lmao I would change the "story" of how you got stung if you plan on telling a girl. wink.gif

Dude, a single sting is nothing to brag about. When I run over the wasp nest with the lawn mower, and I've got to remove 800 billion stingers, that will be something to brag about. wink.gif

Is it proven that girls really dig scars? Or is it just a myth?

Certain girls probably do... "Check out all these scars on my wrists" blink.gif

I wouldn't mind doing certain stunts on Jackass. Namely the one with the air horn at the golf course. rofl.gif

Man I haven't been stung by a bee in a long time. Last time I got stung was at age 5 when I thought I was the coolest little shit in the neighborhood. There was a bee on our patio window and I slammed it with my hand because I was living in the fantasy land where I thought I was awesome. The bee survived the slam and I was stung. I cried and cried, my mom removed the stinger with some tweezers, put some ice on the area, and I was good the rest of the night.

But yeah if you just can't find it anywhere, leave it. If you do randomly find it though, get a pair of tweezers or something to remove it.

Tweezers= Bad. It can squeeze more venom into you, thus becoming more irritated. wink.gif
