no offence, but maybe a nice idea is to get someone who will actually implement suggestions..............................

even when people have good ideas, and other people support those ideas, nothing ever gets done, so why even have this subforum, the chef's subforum would probably be more useful than this...

If it's a good suggestion it usually does end up being implemented. wink.gif Which suggestions are you referring to?

First one isn't needed, 2nd one has been tried numerous times and just gets abused. We've had the 3rd one before but I think we lost the installation instructions. tongue.gif Not sure about the bbcode one and I think we've had the quote one before, not sure what's happening with that.

The member title one which would allow mods to edit them once again would be helpful, instead of having to ask an Smod+ but the reputation isn't needed. Urban also found a link to a mod for that subforum blocking, it's posted somewhere. tongue.gif

I have an urge to pin this or something since this is the best suggestion yet.

I've offered to implement mods myself, i've given sample code that would do the trick, i'm sure plenty of other members would help out too but everything gets ignored.

First one i believe had a higher 'yes' concensus than no. Second one had some good suggestions on how it could be implemented. 3rd one doesn't need instructions, we have plenty of programmers here that can do it themselves (this goes for any mod).

Hasn't the reputation mod been implemented like three times in the past? tongue.gif No matter how good the suggestions are for it, I'm not too sure the moderators are going to be too keen on reuploading it anytime soon, especially since it's crashed and burned the last few times.

I already discredited the poll for the first one in the thread. And for the 3rd one, the mod was actually mine. tongue.gif

Probably even more than that. It's like IB Store, we install it time and time again and it's always rubbish. tongue.gif

lol, when you say you "lost" the instructions, do you mean you never made any in the first place tongue.gif

surely all you need to do to block a sub-forum is add some boolean value into your database on request and then filter it out in the various different parts of the site?

Well I PMed them to ShadowLink when I wrote it but he lost them since then. tongue.gif

It's probably easy enough to figure out the table structure which is needed from the php, just need to remind Noit to do it. wink.gif

I say that they actually do get around to following good suggestions.

It's just that everyone is busy with school, and help out in their free time. XD It gets done, and if they don't know how it gets done, Thinktank tries to help.

My Suggestion:

Be patient, son. ohmy.gif
