Seriously, I don't feel like waiting another 50-60 years on this.

Well I guess we did have mercantilism for like 200 years, hopefully this communist revolution starts sooner than that though.

It's inevitable, but not really.
I think you'll see more socialist ideas incorporated into society, but nothing full blown for a long while.

Dude, you're pretty crazy.
You should watch the pilot episode of sliders, the one where they go to the world where communist Russia rules the united states.

You really are pathetic. Do you really believe people are all equal and we should all earn the same? Because I don't and thats why we have garbage men and investment bankers who make drastically different salaries.
Do you believe a doctor is equal to a janitor in skill level? Why should he be paid the same as someone who saves lives for cleaning vomit off of the floor. You can debate all life is equal but people are NOT at all equal when it comes to there skills, determination and perseverance.
People get paid high figures because they struggled and overcame more hardships than pathetic Marxist-Leninist supporters did. A doctor goes through 6-12 years of POSTGRADUATE training, a janitor doesn't even do undergraduate. Yet these people are equal? Hah.
Theres a reason China's economy is referred to as "Socialist with Chinese characteristics", those Chinese characteristics reduced unemployment from 48% to 8% and made the country a superpower. Those same characteristics power America and Europe and even Russia.
Socialism was tried in the USSR, and guess what its gone. Your Utopian atitude is quite pathetic, grow up and don't bitch about those more successful than you.

Secondly, not everyone has the ability to study, not everyone learns the same, no one person has the same type of intelligence as the next. In terms of value, who's to say that someone cleaning up after people isn't as necessary as those making the mess.
Each person has some role in society, we cna't all be doctors, lawyers, teachers, etc. Some people have to do the grunt work. It does not make them less worthy of a good life.
A surgeon should make the exact same amount of money as a sanitation officer, true or false?

False, In case I was not clear I was referring to the huge communist/socialist point everyone makes the same.

There are enough people already who do nothing and leech money/aid from the government. Ofcourse I exclude those who really can't do nothing such as people in special circumstances.

Please read on the material before attacking me, I'm not even going to justify your ignorance with a proper response, just sitting here laughing.
Socialism is anti-welfare, in case you guys never understood it. Judging by some of the responses here, that's a far shot, which is perfectly fine, I've nothing against that, don't get me wrong.

Socialism does have some good aspects to it, anti-welfare definitely being one of them. I disagree with other principles of it though.
And Ange, not necessarily intelligence. Specialized work that requires an actual skill should pay more, yes. What you make should be proportional to amount of work you've put into acquiring skills to perform that job. Ideally, everyone would make an amount of money to live comfortably, specialized jobs people just making more.

I generally disagree with state-ownership, as much as you can try and pass it off as worker ownership. Some things should be left to private persons as far as I'm concerned.
I'll vouch for Arman (Fred Hampton, Simon, the peoples champion, whatever you prefer
