Will do, you clearly know best since you happened to be born in a specific geographical locale. thumbsup.gif

We all love environmental determinism don't we.

To be fair, many sociologist agree that geographical location means you have more of an input in politics. So, don't sue because I wasn't born in Sheffield!

Economics and foreign policy have been cited as his strong points. If he doesn't have those, what does he have? A conservative social agenda? I don't need that in the white house either.

And as obtuse as you're being, I think the millions of innocents in persian lands might not like it if we bombed the Ayatollahs 'just because'.

''To be fair, I thought the Senate voted on it, but that may be the next VP. But it doesn't matter really, no one person runs a country, as much as Simon would want you to believe.''
One person (and his buddies) got us into two wars halfway around the world with no evidence, no support, and a congress that wasn't his party. Makes a pretty good case for autocracy.

Oh I'm kidding about Iran, just because he puts on a strong front against foreign nations doesn't mean he'll rush into anything unjust, to assume that is just immature.

Yes, pretty sure Bush was bored and did it for shit and giggles. Or was it a bet? Who knows, but apparently this shit happens all the time. Apparently vietnam was all part of a hoax!

Who are these many sociologists? blink.gif Environmental determinism was just about discredited completely in the 1940s...

And I wasn't born in Sheffield either. smile.gif It is quite a nice city now though.

I'm ignoring your 'immature' comment. I'd appreciate it in the future if you didn't insult my intelligence and call me immature. This is the debate forum, we try to keep it civil.

I'm not assuming he'd invade Iran. It just says something about his character that he would disregard the global image of America by saying something so blatantly offensive to a country. When was the last time Gordon said 'Fuck Pakistan' on global television?

and of course Bush did it for shits and giggles. The oil profits and defense spending contracts that Carlyle group (of which his father is a board member) made were obscene. There isn't a shadow of a doubt that the second war was entirely falsified for profit. Sure, you can couch it in 'New World Order' bullshit, but it comes down to doing favors for relatives and friends in the defense industry by declaring a war where we'll have to spend money on the Army. Simple as.

im voting for Obama, and i dont think he is Muslim, but what if all the reports are right...

that would be a good moment, names Osama Bin Laden as his Defense Secretary... i had a dream about this. it was insane

and if this really happened, it would still be an improvement over the Bush era... i think about this as well. and then i cry
