I have been doing a lot of thinking(painfull) and I just realized how texting have revolutionized relationships.
Remember the good old days of middle school when only the rich businessmen had cell phones? So you had to call the girl you liked's house and her mom or dad would answer and it would be awkward.

Now texting has made it possible to stay in contact with many different girls(or guys) at one time.

Discuss how other things texting/cell phones has impacted.

Because of texting... whenever I need to contact someone quick and they do not pick up there cell

I txt them... and they txt back immediately

Like if they are in class or something, instead of calling I text

    This helps with communication!

Texting is lovely when calling someone is horribly expensive because of country boundaries

    Wait a minute

    So writing

AMEN on a post is not spamming

But writing something relevent to the topic is spamming?

    Sonic... you wrote Amen

and by writing that you are back modding...?

    Also back on topic:

I agree that texting is cheaper than calling... I have many friends in various states in the US and calling them can be a hassle.. so we just text each other

Texting is funner than talking. I find when I talk, I run out of things to say. It's really a way for me to avoid the awkward silence that lurks between the ending and beginning of new topics.

That being said, idiots have found another way to make driving more dangerous -______________-"

    I have like 2,500 posts.
I have no need to spam to get into advanced.
    Your forcing responses.
You know exactally what I am talking about, don't play dumb. I am simply telling you that it will make you look bad and make people hate you.

There are better ways of making people not like you.
Like going to war and arguing blindly with any liberal view you see. Trust me, it makes people not like you much better than spamming. tongue.gif
Cept hawk. He will confess his love secretly for you over MSN then try and cyber sex you. Resist his charm, its hard, but in the end better.

Texting is awesome. There's nothing worse than a girlfriend who wants to talk to you on the phone all the time, damn it gets so boring after a while. Texting is the answer to a man's prayers.

i loveeee texting. I used to be one of those people who looked at texters with disdain but I've grown to love it. Its a really good way for me and my boyfriend (who is in a different college) to keep in contact when we're out and about during the day

I guess I like texting, but usually if I don't have much to say...if I do have a lot to say, I'll just pick up the phone. But I think texting has changed things...just like email did.
