I've never really found collecting avatars that appealing. What's the actually point of collecting them, is there any value to it?

[Daniel#1]

Trophy maybe, idk never bothered collecting them.

Just like everything else in Neopets having the rarest avatars is a big deal. Having the best pets. The best petpets.. the best lookups the best battledome pets. So on and so forth. I don't really bother with avatars though. I only go after the ones I think look pretty that I'd actually use.

Yeah it's like a hobby on neopets.

Some people are BDers (they enjoy earning nps to train & buy weapons and fight.)
Some people are Avatar Collectors.
Some people are strictly gamers.
Some people are Resellers.

There are just many different things to do. Thats why their so many different boards. They can help if you ever get bored on neo.

Just one of the many enjoyable things to do on neopets.

Oh and now, a newer one would be "decorators". Like some people just get pure enjoyment out of decorating a neohome.

They don't really do anything, it's just so you can brag or whatever.

[hamesome]

To use them in the neoboards.

Having a high avatar count makes you look more reputable.

[hamesome]

Maybe because some avatars are limited edition.

I just enjoy collecting them.
