What I was thinking was the world probably won't blow up...but if there is such a sizable event it could throw people into rioting etc, that in turn could fuck up quite a few things. Just didn't know if there was ANY truth to this...and I'm glad you'd have your degree lol

Nostradamus was vague, allowing his prophecies to be loosely interpreted.
And the Mayan calendar ended... So does the one hanging in my kitchen... once a year. No end of the world then.

Who says our calenders are even on the same rates as theirs.
I won't believe anything until this so called "3 days of darkness" starts.
Then maybe I'll get skeptical.
I need hardcore proof to believe in anything, really.

They aren't on the same rates... They've been translated and converted.
As far as my opinion is concerned, no I don't believe in this. And I do have some faith in our kind, that we could come up with some sort of solution.

Also, the Sun can't "align with the Milky Way". It's -in- the Milky Way.

Thats probably what that show stated...I was just typing quickly last night and thats the best way I could think of to put it. lol
I got lots of ammo just for that occasion

Yeah, I agree that it is very vague, which is why I wanted to see what other people thought. Apparently they had found some "lost book" of his that has a bunch of drawings that all lead to the date 12/21/12

I didn't hear any of that, it was like things were supposed to start failing, our economy, weather, crops, the stuff we depend on etc. One guy stated that this is already happening and it'll just get worse. *shrug*

Nothing is going to happen, just like it didn't on Jan 1st 2000.

As long as it's only capable of destroying an area the size of Birmingham I have no problem with you doing that.

Wat. Dinosaur extinction is nothing at all like a completely unfounded Mayan prophecy. And I'd imagine if aliens would live on earth they wouldn't be aliens. If that makes sense. I'm tired and your post lacks logic. Good night
