As far as my ability to have an accurate baring on her personality- I didn't necessarily post a ton outside of LPC but I sure as hell used to lurk 'n read. I made the effort to come out of the LPC area, but maybe my tie to it might be because she didn't make a lot of appearances there herself.
Again, I don't think she's incapable of being kind, as I've seen it before.
uh... I was a somewhat active member. This would be the type of member whose opinion should matter just as much as any other if not more. it's people that are coming in and seeing unjust and inappropriate behavior (from members or mods) that turn around and leave this forum or worse.(That statement was not directed solely at Kitsune BTW)
So to say that I didn't know her is accurate as far as a personal relationship but even if I only had a substantial first impression of her it shouldn't be looked at as negligible, especially if several others agree.
and again, for the record... I don't hate Kitsune. I'd like her to come back. I'd like to come back to this forum more often myself, in fact.
Now this is a much better post than your previous one. Thank you for making yourself more clear. Your previous one made it seem that you just felt there was an opportunity to insult Kitsune, so you took it. Obviously that was an inaccurate interpretation. The comment about her being a biznatch wasn't really necessary, though.

She took it for over a year. Hell, I can't even remember when we were promoted anymore. It gets to you eventually.

It was wrong of me to call out Kitsune and make rash assumptions about her personality based on what I had seen in my grand total of three days back on the site. It was wrong of me to assume that the primary reason for her bitterness was just pure vindictiveness - I understand now that it is far more than that. What I see now is quite simple - she was a vanguard of change. She did shit that nobody else would because they knew us petulant little prats would be flinging shit at them the entire way without fail, just because we have the capacity to do so. So she became the communal scratching post that everybody vented their slightest frustration at because their lives were miserable or some other far fetched reason, whatever.
I was wrong to say she'd changed. I was wrong to think this site had changed. Everybody is still the same - myself included, with just a few more notches on the belt. Nothing more. Ultimately it's my fault for pushing her over the edge with half-wrought assumptions, but it lies on your head - you know who you are, the people who have actually been here the past year and subjected her to all this shit when in reality, she was trying to help. People did it to me when I was an smod, and it did eventually get to me - though I got lucky and found an excuse to go inactive after 8 months and came back to find myself demoted. Kit hasn't had that chance - she's had to cope with your incessant bitching and whining for the past year and quite frankly, I doubt anybody here currently would last that long under that sort of abuse. I sure as fuck wouldn't. I would have banned half of you for some of the crap that you've pulled.
I felt like I had unfinished business here.
I was fucking wrong.

If those that remain active on the site understand that participation is dwindling, why then be offensive when this only exacerbates the problem?
Is it perhaps their desire to see the forum fade away or are they just not considering the ramifications of their words? If it a case of the former, then I am truly saddened...

Also you cannot make people respect each other. Respect is not to be turned into a custom, it is not a handshake, so I don't think the solution lies there. Maybe the solution to co-existence lies with reflecting on ourselves rather than others.
