Yeah, they just can't quite pick up context though. Love is only a strong word if you make it out to be one, and 9/10 times they attach it to the "strong" connotation. sad.gif

Well that's vague of her, lol. Believe in what?

She says that she is flattered that I love her and that she likes me too buy she doesnt think that we are ready to say that. She says if I wanan say that she is fine with it but she doesn't beleive in it and probably won't for a very long time.

Maybe she likes another guy? Should I ask her best frien din class tomorrow if she can see us in a relationship?

I am willing to bet that you just need to build up the connection with her. Nobody's ready to say that they love another person after seeing them once or twice, which is why she is saying she doesn't believe in it presently. tongue.gif "Very long time" just means, however long it takes to build up a strong enough connection.

And hmm, the thing is, girls talk to their best friends a lot more than you think. Whatever you convey to the friend will almost certainly be conveyed to her, so keep this in mind. wink.gif

In fact, I think it's probably safe to say that she likes you because she cared enough to tell you about her experiences with those other guys. They don't do that for every guy they meet, haha.

Thanks for the advice, ShadowLink. You are very right, her best friend would tell her. As a matter of fact, her best friend knows about the message I sent and how I said love and she told me today that it was not the best word choice. If I were to ask her anything, it would have to be something smart or say nothing at all.

If I were to ask her if she can see me and the girl I like in a relationship together, as we assumed that she would most likely tell the girl I like, would it be a wise thing to ask or should I keep my mouth shut and forget that it ever happened.

Now, if only I would take my own advice about things.... laugh.gif

Well, I think the best thing to do presently is to take her out to things (like you are doing now), gauge her personality and stuff and see if you really want to ask her out. Then ask her out if things seem good. tongue.gif

Talking to the friend may end up being bad news. Not good to involve too many people in your affairs I find. 1we8.gif I believe that it isn't necessary in this case. Besides, things are basically set up already. Just follow through.

And don't dwell on the blunder you made. Like someone said, it's probably best to dismiss it like it never happened. tongue.gif

Alright well, thanks for the help guys, but I just have a few more things to say. In her message she says that she doesn't beleive in it and will not for a long time. I actually did not mean 'love' as in actual love but as in I like you too. My mistake. However, when she says she does not beleive in it, does that mean she is not looking for a relationship or perhaphs she can't see us in a relationship? A week before prom she went out and partied. She got drunk and made out with a different guy at 3 different parties. I was obviously upset and she apologized to me because she cared for me. She told me what happened even though she did not need too because she is single. Though if she cannot see us in a relationship, I am unsure if it is because im not the right kind of person or she likes another guy whom she hasen't said anything about.

Im taking her out this weekend to the movies. I plan to move in a little closer. Her best friend sits behind me in my English class and I was wondering if I should ask her if Rey can ever see us in a relationship. Is this a good idea? im gonna ask her to keep it between us two but she may go and tell since they are best friends.

    What do you guys think?

No, by saying she doesn't believe in it.. well, a lot of people nowdays say that because they're a bit jaded. The divorce rate is so high now and so many kids are being raised by a single parent that it's hard to believe in love that'll last forever, you know? Try to understand that she could have seen things that have hurt her badly. She probably IS looking for a relationship and I think you're thinking too much xD And yeah talking to her friends is a great idea. It's sometimes good to be friends with her friends and her to be friends with your friends. Even if she DOES tell her best friend, most girls would be flattered and think it's sweet happy.gif

But like you also said, keep it kinda slow because she seems afraid to go into something TOO serious. She may not be ready for that. Also just keep in mind that she obviously has a completely different idea of love than you do. Maybe it's best not to say that you love her again for a while until it's the type of love you feel when you think you want to spend the rest of your life with this person because that's what love means to a girl.

Okay well, i think that if I am going to ask her best friend any questions, it should be something good. Like if her best friend thinks that she can see me and the girl I like in a relationship. We will see tomorrow. biggrin.gif

Also by the way. I don't know if this will help, but her best friend, the one I would ask questions too, anyway, is also the person who has given me some special advice. She is the one who told me in the beginning that I should go to prom with this girl. At the prom itself, my prom date went to the washroom and as soon as she wa sout o sight, she told me that I should kiss her by tonight. How often does this happen? tongue.gif

maybe I am over thinking all of this and I just need to start thinking straight.

    Thanks for the advice, everyone.

She's not saying she doesn't believe in love, she's saying she doesn't believe that you're in love with her so not to be upset that she's not said it back...

Well her best friend probably should be really willing to help you out in further relationship advice, so it'd be good to develop a friendship with her. I think with that your "girlfriend" had probably confided in her friend that she liked you so the friend told YOU to ask her to prom.

And Ali you might be right. From what he said she said she didn't believe in love, but of course he could be miswording it. Let's hope that's the case

Can't see she'd say it would be a while before she believed it if was to do with not believing in love. Most people I know who don't believe in love, just don't believe in love rather than believing they haven't found someone they love yet...

Long story short, you said the L word when you have only kissed the girl and she still is into dating you or whatever yeah then she likes you by the sounds of it. I was going out with a guy 3 days he told me he loved me I called it off (mind you the huge teddy bear saying i love you didn't help either) just take your time date her a little more, if you still like eachother ask her out and in time maybe say it again. I'm going to assume she didn't want to be with someone who throws the word love around like it means nothing. I mean, of course, it's up to everyone to treat it how they want to treat it, but some people are very strict with it and honestly I can relate.

all you get is hand holding though
body language is literally like 75% of the battle

things like playing with their hair, uncrossed legs, etc (good signs btw)
the biggest sign is various unnecesary contact (bumping into you, playing with your hair? , etc)
eye contact during conversation, smiles, etc.

you cant get that shit during movies when you dont talk
