We are currently in the process of moving servers for Neocodex. We have finished moving the database over to the new server and are using board files on the old server to talk to the database on the new server. This is why you might see the board go a little slowly for a few more hours. I'll be finishing up the move soon and then starting the DNS propagation over to the new nameservers.

Over the course of the next few days, we should all automatically switch over to the new servers and the slowness of the board should go away since the board will then be able to use the local database. There should not be any more downtime.

Oh no, that isn't why we moved. This move was purely from a financial point of view . With the move, we are now able to save $17 a month which translates to $204 a year. That's a lot of money .

I still see those MySQL server has gone away errors but not as frequently. I'll be doing some investigation into it this weekend.

Ahh right, yeah the board errors are still around I just tested it by using the search box.

By the way, our new server uses 8 CPUs. The one we were on earlier only had 2. We downgraded to upgrade.
