After about 10 hours of using firebug to edit CSS code, I have finally finished appbay.net.
I used Thesis Theme, and edited the custom css file with help from firebug.
Comment and crit on it (yes I know its minimal in graphics right now, I am having a hard time getting photoshop). I also need some suggestions on what graphical elements i should include from here. Thanks!

Oh and did I mention I will pay someone a modest fee to make me some graphics? pm me for details

Wordpress for a functional site isn't the best choice.
Writing own code for functions is win.

Wordpress is a pretty established blogging platform. Using tools that make your life easier allows you to get content out quicker and more reliably. I would rather use jQuery rather than code up my own AJAX requests.

Yeah, but I would rather use jQuery by itself and not with a blogging platform.

People with the same views as you really grind my gears. Thinking you're cool for coding something from scratch instead of using widely-known, widely-accepted platforms that can do the job ten times easier (and usually, ten times better)

    Square, boring, but functional.

It's not really anything worth commenting on.

I'm not saying you can't use a platform, but again, its a blogging platform.
Use things as they're intended to be used, there's obviously advantages and disadvantages.

I'm actually moving towards this prototype/jquery thing. Its really really nice. Everything is coded cross browser for you already :) But I make sure to understand how it works. Well at least try lol
