I watch The Office and 30 Rock currently, along with some other shows you guys have never heard of :p. Not really a fan of house, but I'm not really a fan of drama in general so ... :p.

Ick... I'm hating the new season of House so very much. No real spoilers for anyone, but in the first two hour episode it's all about drama and nothing about medicine. Then, when I think House will be back to normal, the second episode he's not doing medicine either. Hopefully in the third episode he will be, but this is HOUSE. This is not Grey's Anatomy. This is a show that was originally about the medicine and the mystery. This was not about drama and if it continues to be so, I'll honestly stop watching it >_<

I watch too many shows to list here. :p In terms of House though, I like it right now. I used to LOVE it, and last season up until
    Spoiler

I didn't like the season too much. So far this season, it's not bad. Different, but not bad. I liked the first 2 hours personally. But perhaps that's because I'm more inclined to drama anyway. :p Plus from the way I view it, I just don't know how they would be able to put the usual medicine and mystery into the episode. I suppose they could have had a separate story arc or something featuring the other characters, but I don't know if it would have been as entertaining with House being 'away.' The 2nd episode I haven't seen yet, but yes I'm looking forward to the show getting back into how it usually is.

I really liked the season premiere, even though it was filled with cliches. But then, back to normal with Foreman and Thirteen's stupid relationship that nobody cares about. I really miss the quality of the first few seasons, when House tended to be a playful jerk. Over time he's become a vindictive jerk and every other word in the dialogue is "miserable" (seriously, that's my Drinking Game word). Everyone stands around and talks about how miserable they are and how miserable other people are and blah blah blah. First rule of good writing: show don't tell.

Nonetheless I still watch this show every week without fail because I love Hugh Laurie.

I'm glad I'm not the only one who isn't real thrilled with this season of House. I used to love it, but now .. not so much. I'll keep watching for a few more episodes, but if it doesn't get better I will also drop it.

For other shows I watch ... good lord, there's too many. :p My favorites though would be:
Heroes (not as good as the first season, but I love Sylar ... obviously .. and Robert Knepper is a favorite actor of mine also so its twice as nice now.
    Fringe
    NCIS
    The Mentalist
All the Animation Domination shows on Sundays FOX lineup

More, but I'll stop there ... :whistling:

I love House and have watched every episode so far, this new season it seems obvious that they want to change it up a bit as the normal "House cures the impossible" every episode I guess is repetitive, but I still never get tired of it. Haven't seen the 2nd episode yet of new season, but the 1st ep was decent, changed up the show a bit, similarly to when House got his whole new team.

I've been quite interested in Lie to Me (although the first season ended a month ago) and the Mentalist. They are excruciatingly predictable but I'm enjoying it from an educational perspective.

I think I like the Mentalist for the eye candy of Simon Baker. :whistling:

Possibly one of my favourite shows though would have to be the Big Bang Theory, part of the way through season 2 at the moment :D

Oh I love the Big Bang Theory! Unfortunately it's up against 2 other shows at that time so I wait until it's released on DVD to watch it. Geek humor FTW :)

This is the #1 reason I watch everything on demand. I should be allowed to like more than 1 show at 1 timeslot.

I refuse to even turn on the TV anymore unless I'm gaming.

Oh, and on topic- Blegh at all the medical dramas. I didn't like ER, and haven't liked anything in the genre since.

    Scrubs doesn't count because it's about 70/30 humor/drama

I'm placing it at depressing since they just keep stringing along Zach Braff so the show won't fail. Allegedly he's only doing 6 of the new episodes...

The show will continue, but it will hardly be the show we've loved this whole time.

I'd quote the wiki, but you can just read the related material here

I like House, it's a pretty good show compared to the other Medicine themed shows circulating around, though that's mostly because Hugh Laurie does a great job portraying House. :D

I watched the Season premiere, though I didn't know what to make out of it. I liked it, but at the same time, it just felt weird.

I forgot about the new season of scrubs! I really liked that show too, watched it more feverishly than I did House. There were some days (which were often) when Scrubs was funny to me. I enjoyed it a lot while, House does have a nice bit of funny parts or at least a cleverly written show now and then I did not enjoy it as much as I did Scrubs.

I did catch a few glimpses of the season premiere and I couldn't help myself from wondering why he was in the institute and then I also couldn't help myself from reading the spoiler on this thread...and it was definitely what it said it was...a spoiler

Unfortunately I don't have the on demand option since I'm in Mexico right now. ;) We have satellite feed in from the US, but there isn't on demand and we can only receive west coast shows and we're in central time zone. I'm not usually up quite this late so I have to DVR everything since it starts airing from 10pm to 1am and I typically crash around 10. Only reason I'm still up is I have a migraine and can't fall asleep yet. :p There's only one DVR in the house since you have to outright purchase the unit instead of renting it and they charge 800.00 US money a pop for them. Blah. So we can only record 2 things in any given time slot.

Sorry to drag this even further off topic, but ... Out of curiosity, anyone living outside the US -- is there a way to watch television programs online that you can tell me about? I was used to being able to go online and watch a show that I missed due to random events and can't do that anymore. I'd love to watch Big Bang Theory that way if possible.

Ok, back to topic - the show from this week was slightly better than the premiere. I won't go into spoilers, but things are looking a little more normal. I hope so anyway.

Couldn't have put it better myself. Hugh Laurie makes the show IMO - the rest of the cast is ok, but he's awesome. :)

Cool, I'll have to look into that. Thank you very much for the information. ^_^ Oooh... I did miss the last 2-3 episodes from the first season of House so if they have it there, I can finally see what happened since they have it available. :)

Once again, sorry to drag it off topic. :)

every episode of almost any tv show that is recent and well liked.

I guarantee it. Takes a bit to get set up though, I've got an plug in to firefox called flashget and a downloader called Orbit which is absolutely fantastic. It really is.

I don't trust things that make me install other things. That seems shady.

ninjavideo.net just runs a java applet to allow you access to their shows...

I freaking love House. but the most I watched this season was the premier. D: I need to catch up, but nooo I work.

But... I'd rather be working than at home watching house. >_> Kinda confused when I found out he was in a psych ward at the start of the season. O_o I never keep up.

imo house this season is getting draggy and overly dramatic

i mean it's nice and all that the guy's finally getting mental health, but (well to be honest) broken characters make the best stories

i liked the ending the last season though.. very ruthless and it was so real, or to me at least, the entire hallucination incident. it was scary in fact, and showed even some of the brightest among us are still mortal

hope it picks up soon, the old party's back together at least. eztv mentioned cameron wasn't staying though.. pity

I love House as well. I don't know why but House's personality is hilarious xD Such sarcasm! And on top of that I really like medical shows, so all in all, that's like a show designed for me. xD
