Still, using vulgarities/harsh language can get you into trouble with the law. Look, Aurora is pretty new here(just entered this year) and she may be unfamiliar with things. She perhaps missed the entire discussion and did not know what was going on. So why should you be so harsh to your juniors? Scolding them vulgarities would not solve the problem. Yes, Aurora could have been wrong for saying all this. Sunscorch could have mailed them and told them what was wrong with what they said in a calm manner, after all, they have been in this guild longer than Aurora. Let Aurora know why she was wrong. Instead of doing it the hard way. You know, it would have been so much better.

It's obvious the Mods here have little to no problem with what was said, or they would of taken action. Also, if joining this year is new, then I'm still new and should get away with saying stupid things according to you.

How can one miss the conversation when it is in the form of forum posts, they can easily GO BACK and read them before randomly posting stuff and getting yelled at for it.

Also, what guild? This is not a guild, this looks like a Website and a Forum, not a guild, obviously.

Plus, letting the person go almost unharmed teaches them nothing, discipline is sometimes needed to teach people lessons, if that stops Aurora from blindly posting, then it worked.

However, he should not result in such a harsh way to teach Aurora, and plus, the words 'bloodsucking leech' is a vulgarity and if the other party sues you, there is a chance you might go to prison. Scolding vulgarities to someone is not going to teach them a lesson, it is just setting a bad example to them. A senior scolding vulgarities? That would make people think that this is an uncouth place. Therefore, Sunscorch did not have to yell. Plus, Aurora THOUGHT the score was 550. They were just voicing it out, they weren't directing their speech to Suncorch. All they did was to ASK a question. Sunscorch would have replied, "No, I believe you have mistaken. The score is 500." or something like that. Why did they need to shout? All they had to do was to TELL Aurora what the score is, just THREE numbers. Is that very difficult? i don't think so.

5. There was no yelling. It's text. The closest you can get to yelling on a message board is caps, and Joe refrained from using them.

6. We try to keep a pretty laid back pace here. This affords you the time to think out responses, and if you have none, then to move on. No need for bumps because everything is stored for posterity (unless the mods decide to make certain posts invisible, of course). If we all take the time to think before we post, we can all get along pretty well.

As you have said, leeches suck blood. Aurora does NOT 'suck blood'. All she did was to ask for a small piece of information(in this case, three numbers), and are you implying that Sunscorch can't tell her?? Must he react in such a harsh manner? Certainly. As for point 2, there are times where people accuse the other person as a 'leech', if you other person takes it to heart, feels angry, decides to sue the other party, then that could be bad! Sunscorch just need to tell Aurora what the score was, thats all.

As you all have mentioned, Aurora may need some initiative to look through the previous boards, yes, I agree. But scolding them vulgarities would only worsen the problem! Think about it, If there isn't a rule here about speaking vulgarities. Think what might happen. As the saying goes, "Hope for the best and prepare for the worst." What if everyone just goes slack and starts hurtling vulgarities at each other like Sunscorch? What going to happen? Neocodex would gain a bad reputation, and none of us want that to happen! But if the rule isn't implanted, people would just hurl vulgarities, harsh words at each other, and other people might be thinking. "Neocodex. What an uncouth place!" Surely you don't want that happening? Therefore even though this isn't the neoboards, there still should be a limit to what we may say, in order to prevent hurting other people emotionally or mentally.

This is getting very very annoying. If you want to quote something that someone else said, please click the Reply button in the bottom right of their topic. I hate sorting through what someone else said, and what you said. The quote will set it apart.

Aurora is made many useless posts. Infact, she made a post in a Score Sending topic, wondering when a Score Sender would be around....

Sometimes people need to be yelled at inorder for them to learn from their mistake. I know I do need a good yelling everyone once and again. As long as it is taken in good stride, and you understand that their are alot of people willing to help, and sometimes the fact that 20 times a day we have to answer the same questions over and over again, simply because people dont read more then the first post (Or in the case of my programs, they dont even bother to read the first post).

Now, given that. Do you really expect us to be kind and warm and answer peoples questions 20 times a day, without every once in a while getting pissed?

Besides. Sunscorch has always been a harsh person, thats who he is.

The plot item rock from yesterday is now seemingly retired.

Today you play moltara meltdown every 10 minutes and sometime randomly youll get a fire muffin... This is like a snowball.. One time use and is a plot item.
