Ever since the "the first decade" idea i have been getting several PM's on other items that will inflate. These investments are for the patient, whom understand TIME=MONEY. Sometimes with by using logic we can grab a quick profit but keep in mind this more times then a not a investment over a long period of time.

Grapes
This item is one hell of risk/reward in my opinion. This one of the retired non-advent calender food. All of the other old food has inflated aswell some upwards to 10k+. This will follow the same trend. I would stock up since they are still very cheap. This is already retired in will only continue to grow over time. There is a chance this may inflate quicker if their wasn't so much stupidity among the sellers (see pic problem pic). I theorized that they would inflate at 2k they are now hovering 4k-ish. Profit over time = 100% quick profit= 50-50

What inflation is looking like:

The problem (stupid crap like this):

Advent calender books
A quick profit is highly unlikely with these. But a trend has followed with these books that is only natural the older the book(lowest supply) the more expensive it is (see pic below). Time = money.

Advent calender stamps
All have inflated as well. I had 1000 copies of year 5 stamp at 7k a piece. It is now 30k a piece. The same logic applys to stamp as it does to books with the exception that stamps to inflate higher and quicker. Over time profit

Space 51 books
Very big risk/reward. " Space Exploration Guide" is currently running cheap and it may follow a trend like "the first decade". Its not retired but in theory it may be.

Mysterious valentine
Saw this tip from a certain member of the forums. It looks like solid investment but since its already expensive you must have a ton of NP to invest if you want to make seriously sick profit.

More to come later

How about we try to keep the grapes price at 10k.
Hopefully after a week/fortnight the price will stay there and we can try inflate it further.

Maybe grapes don't look expensive, that's why it will take a much longer time than expected. I bet not many people know about grapes(and probably don't care) being retired.

Would the same sort of thing work with Codestones? Do you think people will constantly buy from you if you have a high amount of every Training Island codestone available? Or would people just look for the cheapest?

If there was a war going on, people would just buy what they can find but not right now.

Even if no war, some lazy people would go shop for things together like if they need more than one codestone...this is exactly how malls work

This is not the best way to get frozen??? Am I wrong. I'm pretty sure neopets has already seen these posts. If you start inflating after you posted it on a public forum I do not know how successful you will be with keeping your account.

The planet 51 book will slowly go up but its like an advent book so it will take years to see a decent profit(probably), hopefully you guys didn't go hoarding the items up after the post was made because neopets can probably check the time and relate it to who you are hah.

Of course I might be a little too overcautious.

You are being way too cautious.. Firstly were "collectors" of retired items... how is my hobby of collecting retired items banable? Sure i give up on some hobbies and they happen to earn a profit... ;););)

Most of all there is a very good amount amount of non-codex members hoarding. In fact there is nothing wrong with what we are doing. I buy alot for cheap-wait a few years- sell. If it was illegal they can just look up who has "x amount" of an item and ban them for having it. IN B4 MUNSTERPOO IS NOT FROZEN FOR HAVING A GRASP ON THE GRAPES OF WRATH MARKET because its magically some how different from what we are doing.

Blatant group inflating? I'm pretty sure thats against neopets rules it isn't "investing for the future"

And in my opinion of neopets was watching they could freeze anyone who goes out and buys many of the item because its planned and inflating together. It might not be planned who does the inflating but you have posted it on the forum so they have read it.

Now if you went about it another way you would be completely safe but you kinda messed it up there

Codex members can't be the only ones watching prices. It would be irresponsible for them to freeze EVERYONE who is speculating... not that it's above them... it's just irresponsible.

my post has nothing to do with group inflating it is centered around collecting and selling later. Sure some other people hoar as well and it allows me to sell my share earlier for a bit less profit but i can't control what some random person does on neo. I dont have much of an interest in group inflation. It's other people in this post who wanna make a quick buck i dont mind waiting 5 years.

finally some common sense. again munsterpoo needs to be banned for buying a good share of grapes of wrath he is monopolizing and controlling prices. Although again this is not group inflation.

Took 6 months for someone to realize that I have common sense.

    Next goal?

    See you in 6 months.
