So, I'm pretty new to this whole cheating thing, and it makes me really really nervous transferring neopoints from my side to my main. Right now I'm going very slow, only doing about 50k a day and only every couple days (sometimes every day). Right now I'm not using any proxies, but two other people already have accounts on the same ip, and we havn't had any problems. I've been transferring the nps through overpriced items in my shop, sometimes all at once and sometimes two or three at a time. I want to take every precaution, not just for me, but b/c if I accidentally froze either of the other accounts, I would literally be too dead/injured to ever go on neocodex again (they have been playing for 9-10 yrs completely legit). They have not been and will not be involved in this at all, but the same ip thing is freaking me out. Also, I obviously don't want to get my main frozen either. Any advice?

I read that thread earlier. My question was more about whether TNT was smart enough (or dumb enough) to put 2 and 2 together and freeze multiple accounts on the same ip, even if just one was cheating.

Simple answer is yes, IP bans happen, but not that often.

Dont think anyone here can predict if it will happen to you though sorry.

personally I probably would not do it if you have friends who have had their accounts for 9-10 years. I would not risk it. Especially if you are newish id make another account through a proxy and just play on that one.

If you've just started to use programs and aren't too confident in what you're doing yet, I'd be careful about cheating on an ip that other people use. I've heard about IP bans, they do happen. Using a proxy is definitely a good idea, I think. I use Firefox and FoxyProxy. I don't really know how good it is, but it's free to use and seems to keep the banhammer at bay for now.
