Because of real life I never got to watch season 5. I am just about finished watching it on Netflix. All I can say is wow JJ Abrahms.

All these years of watching Lost I never got how OBVIOUS the truth about the island is!

Am I wrong or is the whole thing just a pissing contest between God (Jacob) and the Devil(The Nemesis aka the 'resurrected Locke')? Jacob just wanted to prove the inherent goodness of people while Undead Locke just wants to show how evil humankind really is?

All the survivors, all the others, all the dharma initiative were just pawns in their game of chess?

I can't wait for the last season..

I am a MASSIVE Lost fan. I'm rewatching all the seasons before the 6th and final one. I can't wait for it.

I always took that as just an honest symbolism between a battle of good and evil. But yes, Lost has always had subtle religious symbolism. For one, Aaron was baptized. There was also nearly everything with Mr. Eko. There's a theory that the sevin deadly sins have played a role in some the characters. Jack is Pride, Jin is Envy, Wrath is Locke, Sloth is Shannon, Greed is Sawyer, Gluttony is Hurley, and Lust is Boone. Again though, that's a theory. But yeah religion is one of the many Lost themes.

JJ Abraham has said he was heavily influence by Stephen King's ideas of good and evil especially King's Walking Dude aka Randel Flagg in the Dark Tower series.

I just finished King's new book Under the Dome and a character is watching a Lost spinoff series. Have you heard of one coming out?

BTW here's some fun trivia. Fringe and Cloverfield has nods towards Lost. In Coverfield, Slusho(and the monster) was discovered by the Hanso foundation and in Fringe one of the characters found a plane ticket for Oceanic 815!!

i watched the first season, great season, and a bit of the second, after which i grew tired of the show because of its outrageous plot. how did so many monsters/people/undiscovered things land on the island , while hte island was small enough to evade rescue patrols... no clue.

I liked the first two seasons. But when something goes on for so long with so many questions, NO answers, and then raises even MORE questions, I get really pissed and just want everyone to die. A show has to have SOME kind of pay-off, and Lost had too little for me.

There were characters introduced into the show, episodes that focused on them, and then they died off. That, to me, is a waste of time.

Another thing that bothered me: How the hell did Hurley not lose any weight?
I don't even know who this Jacob character is.

I don't like her either. She got her's at the end of last year's season..not sure if she is dead yet.

Isn't that what the interweb is for? 5 am when I get up to take my metamucil and let my 20 cats out I watch it on netflix..

Eh, I watched the first few episodes.. kinda liked it, but didn't get hooked. I just didn't wanna waste all that time watching through that many episodes lol. Plus, I've already read/scene a lot of the newer stuff, so it ruined alot of the plot 'surprises' for me.

I got all the way up to the first couple episodes of season 4 and finally realized how boring/ridiculous this show is and stopped watching it. I say it was a good choice, although I plan to eventually read a synopsis of everything I missed out on in the last seasons.

So the new episode aired tonight while I was at work. Apparently my brother sat there watching the 1 hour recap show saying, "WHAT THE FUCK?" every 2 seconds. My mom explained the plot to me and I don't get it. Sawyer didn't take of his shirt, thus making it a waste of my precious time.
This show is called Lost because when you're watching it, you are LITERALLY LOST.
Why can't it just make sense like it used to?

Oh, that's right. This show never made any fuckin' sense!
