the birth/death years of your grandfather are very meaningful.
i think the best tattoos are something that have a good meaningful background to them
R.I.P ~
that looks painful.. .
Wow I don't think I'd have the nerve to get one that big. I've wanted to get a tattoo for years but keep trying to talk myself out of it. Even if I did finally decide to get one it'd probably take me another couple of years to decide on what design I wanted.

I ike tattoos that really mean something. My sister has those typical Chinese characters on the inside of her wrist (always dangerous to get a tattoo in a language you don't understand, but that's a different story) and it jut doesn't work for me. Body decoration is fine by me, I have no beef with any of that. I used to have a piercing, but the novelty wore off way too quick. I think if you get something really meaningful, it really reduces the chances of regretting it later on.

Wiki win. It's an alright tat. I plan on getting on should/blade tat after I get out of fire academy.
That's pretty snazzy =D I think it is silly when people get meaningless tattoos like tramp stamps or random characters of a foreign language (for many different reasons), but it looks like you put thought into what you wanted and it isn't just a random design. Of all the things to get put on your body, that's a good one =D

Gorgeous tatoo!
I always wanted tatoos and piercings. I'd love to have gone all Suicide Girl in my 20's but sadly I can't.
When I was 11 like all girls I went to the mall and got my ears pierced. I spent 2 yrs fighting infections and my ears never healed right. To this day they have a wierd dimple like scar on them.
My brother had the same issues with his piercings (ear). He got a tatoo on his calf and it promptly got infected. The doctor told him and told me some people just have very aggressive immune systems and any kind of intruder (earings, ink etc) into the body will cause us mega health issues.
My brother didn't heed the doc's words and got two more tats. Each time the infection was worse and the last caused him a week stay in the hospital so he called it quits after that.
So no tats for me and no piercings either

THANKS! wow that is crazy yea dint get a tat after all that issues with the hospital and infection but that would be awesome getting the tat you like which part of the body would u put it on sorry if thats a personal question u dint have to answer that. your brother is hard headed huh JJ but tat is addicting to some people i had a friend that got his whole calf 8 hours straight it got infected now he has to take meads. take care now thanks for the post.

Hmm shoulder blades one on each. My butt, inner thigh, calf, ankle , wrist. If I was younger I would probably get a Him Heartagram tramp stamp also.
I'd like a nose piercing (nostril), both ears pierced all the way up, and um some more personal areas. I don't like eyebrow, tongue or lip piercings..
I had a friend who kicked a bad heroin addiction. He had the coolest tats. It was an angel flying down his arm with a demon grabbing his ankle, the tat continued over the shoulder with the demon who was holding down that angel. He said it symbolized his fight over his addiction.
Sadly when I was younger I lived next door to a great tattoo artist. He was one of those award winning famous tattoo artists and he often offered free tats *sigh*
