Runescape = grindfest, nothing else.
Some aspects of Neo can be tedious, e.g. games and restocking, but at least there's other fun stuff to do.
(and it's not so bad when you have programs to handle the tedious parts for you )

Really? I'd have neither, but that's asking too much. Either of them can be tolerable as long as you have a group of friends playing actively, but my vote has to go for Neopets since it doesn't cripple the free-to-play experience as much as Runescape. Really now, $5 a month for some subpar MMO experience.

Another good thing about neopets is you don't have to worry about pkers. If you lose in the battledome you don't lose all of your items or whatevs.

Personally, I only like going on runescape to catch fish and make bread, then quit and make a new account. Neopets is way too addictiing...

there are other options to choose from besides runescape if the OP likes free isometric games. such as, ultima online (free servers), and Mythos online. Theres another one coming out soon called path of exile which is free also.

I mean if you can't choose between these neopets and runescape, (and i mean its not like you cant play both at the same time seeing as one is a browser game), you might as well branch out to other "runescape like games" and see if theres another that appeals to you moreso than runescape.

dats prolly cause neopets is much much better than runescape, free game or not runescape has fallen behind all the other free games of the same genre in graphics and gameplay ;<

I've never played Runescape and before joining this forum I'd never heard of it either. I'm obviously for neopets all the way, just had a look on the Runescape website and it looks a bit too involved for me. It reminds me of a program I used to have (can't remember what it was called) with similar characters etc.

I've just realised Runescape = Run Escape. Yes this is probably obvious but it only just hit me!

Runescape is absolutely awful nowadays. It used to be awesome back in 2006 when pking was at its peak of epicness. I'd pk in runescape on a f2p server once in a blue moon, but there's this new fucktarded overpowered weapon that takes like a million hours of grinding this new shitty Dungeoneering skill to get.

Neopets on the other hand is fun because of all the lil trophies and rares you can get.

Runescape didn't always be a grindfest. I prefer RS over Neo only because there's really nothing to do on Neo besides spend/make money in some form or another.

I love how I posted in this topic last year about RS being boring, and here I am playing it haha. I go back and forth. Right now I'm leveling up in RS and going to attempt a nice little tactic to make hundreds of mil (hopefully) and sell that for some real money.

I've been going back and forth between both games since i was 12.
Let's say i like neo more. RS can be horribly boring if you don't know anyone there though botting can be quite interesting.

If anyone is interested in buying my RS account, I'll be more than willing to let it go cheap for some neopoints.
