Who said anything about a replacement? I just said you can significantly decrease the speed of a car without using breaks by changing down gears. Maybe you read it wrong.
Fixed that for you.
In 1st gear with no clutch, the car will continue to move.

not if you hold the clutch down or put stick on.

Well yeah, but you're not getting any slow down with the clutch in, either. In the end, you're relying on friction to stop your car.

I believe you said you don't NEED brakes, not that you can stop with downshifting. Not really, seeing as if you hit someone at 180mph or 200mph they're wouldn't be much difference.
And no, you don't need brakes actually, you can just change down gears. Not economic, but don't start talking shit about driving when you obviously don't know alot
And that's absolutely not true, as downshifting is not a viable replacement for brakes.
You remembered what you said wrong ;o

I'm always high, lol... and I have a job, go to college, and have a very well functioning brain in my head
There's a stigma around marijuana that is wrong...I don't buy it!

I'm not always anymore, used to be though. Now I save it for evenings mostly... although I have to every night before bed because i use it to medicate a sleeping problem And I can vouch that I could remain a functional member of society all the time when high. It just became not worth it any moreI didn't start smoking weed until I was 15 - but I do smoke daily and still manage to be a functioning member of society.

What does being stoned have to do with cars? Nothing, that's what, they just want to discuss cars because another person asked what kind of car they should get, and drugs have nothing to do with them.So this confirms it...there is a decent percent of the nc pop that is stoned lol n_~V

You've never sat in a room full of stoned people and watch them jump from one topic to the other? It's really funny. You should try it sometime. You can't get stoned people together without the topic drifting. I was just bein funny n_-
Hopefully being stoned and cars never have anything to do with each other, cuz that's just stupid and wreckless.
My bf kept smoking while he was trying to install his air suspension...and I tried to tell him. But he didn't listen.
One black eye and split open eyebrow later he's done XD

no still proves my point.
No, it doesn't. You said you don't need brakes, you can just downshift. That implies downshifting is a suitable replacement for brakes... which it is NOT, seeing as how we've already established that you can't decelerate as quickly as brakes allow.
That proves your point -wrong-. If it's not as good as braking, it is not a safe replacement. Which was your point, that it was a suitable replacement. Wrong.

Pass the Dutchie
I would submit that this song is terrible.
I would also like to submit that Sublime is only so well appreciated because of stoners. I think they're ok at best.
Same goes for the Grateful Dead
