Yeah, the feds love making more and more laws to control us better.

I'm a fan of grapeshot myself, since I don't hunt deer much (not many down here), and rabbits are common as f*ck. Like the other day I was taking my friend's boat out to Bayou Lafourche when out of nowhere like the rabbits run by. In a marsh! If I had my rifle I'd be taking home dinner; I brought only my fishing gear though. Also there are tons of nutria here and their fur can fetch a price. Grapeshot's good for killin em quickly.

My dad owns some hollow-points from Vietnam (technically before '86), I get to shoot them on special occasions. Once brought down a buck from 120 yards in Texas that way.
