What's this obsession with opening old Intro topics? This was ranted against no more than a couple days ago. I know some people are incapable of the advanced thought necessary to construct a complete response to a statement, but most people posting on an internet forum have the capability of reading a couple entries before posting. "Because I have not commented on the topic yet" is not a good enough reason to post at all, much less post blindly. Posting blindly leaves you open to accusations of stupidity.

If I were a mod, this thread would be and after that comes the fun of handing out offense-appropriate punishment.

Someone will hear my call and promote me eventually?

I thought it was kinda surprise to see someone who created an account made one post not long after that and disappear for a month. I merely pointed that out since, its over one month and he still got only 1 post. :]

I like this idea cause when a post gets bumped up with less than 20 posts on it I assume its new and I haven't read it yet. The only thing that has saved me from posting in three of them was my amazing ability to ALWAYS read all the posts before I make one of my own. It wastes time when I check this stuff out.

I don't think a lot of people read before posting, they just see "New Welcome thread!" and begin posting, its sort of why they should be locked after so many days of inactivity. That way if the last post is three weeks ago.. we don't see a new post added at the top of the page. Then again posting "Welcome" is a good way to get post count up lol.
