Okay lets get one thing straight.

I never made a claim to my or anyone else's competency or ability.

What I said may or may not have been funny or humorous depending on your SENSE of humor. When you attempt to change what I said about MENSA being first on Google to third it makes no difference where MENSA shows up on google, so why first? why third? You posted either to a) increase your post count b) try to be funny by commenting on what i said or c) a shallow attempt to snicker at my post.

I just don't understand why you won't quit...

I posted something contributing to the thread. You essentially cloned my post then changed part of it. I told you its spam and you then began an argument with personal(and ineffective) insults.

Saying Neocodex appears first is a claim on the forums competency and ability indirectly, but still a claim.

Also, it wasn't where MENSA showed up on Google, it was what showed up on the results when you searched MENSA. It was also a random post to say Neocodex wasn't the worst and that something is on top of it.

I also have no reason to blantly increase my post count, I hit 500 several months ago, I just post because I can and it obviously got your attention.

/troll

I will also quickly give a picture demonstration of what I see here:

LOL NO NO CLAIM AT ALL.

I was making a joke that people on this forum do not have IQ's as high as members of MENSA.

    This statement encompasses myself.

If you wanted to say that members of Neocodex are not that dumb(which we aren't) then you should come up with a metaphor of your own and not quote mine.

Your post got my attention because of the motives behind it. You cannot expect to insult me on IRC then do the same in the forums and not expect a response. By your statement alone (I just post because I can and it obviously got your attention.) I am correct in assuming that your post was intended to somehow insult me, therefore my response was completely appropriate.

I could care less what you think about me but I do enjoy analyzing and refuting your petty attempts to elevate yourself by putting others down.

Yeah, because it takes you 10 minutes to think of one.

Cool story, bro, you should find a better use of your time.

Also, I'm not putting anyone down, and if I am, it would only be you.

On this forum, I AM better than you, I've done a whole lot more than you and others can back that up.

    NO!

    This is my thread.

The discussion of the Dunning-Kruger effect is not done.

The side-tracked argument may be though.

[sarcasm]It was fun watching this develop but I will not have you falsely closing my thread D:[/sarcasm]

EDIT: Thought I'd make it clear, so I included the [sarcasm]newly institutionalized sarcasm tags. If my sarcasm is not properly displaying on your screen, then I blame you browser or OEM[/sarcasm]

Sorry if it looked like I was trying to close your thread. I think me and Elidoril kind of had a thread of our own(sorry for the spam).

It's all gravy baby. I was just being a goof.

    *points to thread and poll*

If you take this as anything other than highbrow humor then we have a problem ;)

Wouldn't voting that a majority of this forum experiences it indicate, generally, that you yourself experience it?

Yep. Im sure I'm in the category as well.
