I seem to get heaps of worthless HTS ub's with the auto buyer. I'm usually pretty patient with them and what not. I put them in the trading post wait for days, weeks on end and have numerous offers and withdraws on it all because I'm way to slow to get on to it. Maybe an auto-trade acceptor, which refreshes periodically you simply input the lot number and the minimum amount of NPs you would accept and it accepts anything plus (if that is possible). I know there would be complications with it, it wouldn't be appropriate for trade items that are over 800k or when someone bids items on your lot instead of nps, however it wouldn't necessarily have to reject offers, just accept offers. Maybe eventually you could incorporate it with the auto buyer just cos it seems a bit sus having the 'blahblah made an offer on your lot etc' and refreshing every 3 seconds but not noticing your offers on it for 8 hours. I can't find this type of program anywhere on any site probably because it may seem pretty useless or because there is some reason behind it. However you can't be on neopets all the time and I personally and think others do as well lose 'sales' for not accepting fast enough, and it is very annoying this happening with HTS items.

this comes with a risk. But however, i think this can be easily script-ed

P/S: I think TNT should do their parts.. by locking the trade offers for 24 hours. :p

that would definitely be nice for those of us who cannot get on every day and tend to have the most impatient people bidding :p

i think it would be easy to had common ETS items that are used in place of pure (like Baby PBs) to help with accepting offers on lots that you have up for items worth more than 800k.

that would require a very up-to-date item database... there is just too much variety of items out there that is ETS as well..

I think a better idea would be an option to "not buy HTS" items, or to "only buy ETS" items on Abrosia. However this may require a complete update on our item database so that it says if the item is HTS, or ETS.

I do agree a trade offer must be left for 24 hours since so many people like to say "yeah I want this.. nope sorry" however I think some of the problem is people wanting a quick purchase for like illusen or jhudora. So to lock an offer for 24hours would make them unable to purchase from another person and ultimately lose their high score.

yeah which is why you wouldn't bother with ETS unless except for really common ones like baby paintbrushes etc if you really wanted to and ETS items are pretty pointless on lots under 800k.

Even a ten minute bid lock would be great for me. I've been having those extremely impatient bidders who withdraw their offers after not even two minutes.

Except you CAN make nps off your HTS an autotrade acceptor would just be making it easier. Though it's annoying buying a HTS because it's worth more and missing the ETS that is worth a little less. But what is HTS to one person may be ETS to another.

all of the ETS items would not have to be listed and placed into the code :p. just the more common ones used on the TP. liiiiike Baby PBs since they have not really fluctuated. and i am sure there are other ETS items commonly used on the TP that are not subjected to drastic price fluctuation.

Yeah, but if I were restocking legitly I'd be going for ETS more than I would be HTS. An ETS guarantee's the money now, but an HTS may drop in value greatly before you finally manage to sell it to some random person. Just depends on how lucky you are, and how much advertising you do. *sigh* I post in the boards and have my text as an advertisement just cause I'm no good lol.

Yeh I don't think anyone can be good at selling HTS lol. Though before my main was iced I was reselling HTS stuff for full TP within a day or so of buying. Alot of people don't realise how easy it is to sell anything with the word negg, faierie, draik, chomby, snowglobe, hissi, altador etc common gallery themes. It's just a matter of using an automailer and doing a search in the SW for galleries then mailing about 30 gallery owners, you will for sure have the item sold in a day or so and sometimes you will get them bidding against each other. Occasionally people will abuse you saying they already have that item but meh. I'd make about a mil a day legitly if I went at it hardcore though it's a pain and boring as hell.

I lost an offer today and thought about it. But it seems a little complicated, at least to establish how the program is gonna be done.

I hadn't thought about that, I might try that for my meerca mesh net and werelupe plushie. If you get any Celebrity Plushies let me know? What I call celebrity are those that are based off neopian character's. Such as Illusen, or Fyora. ^-^ I got a good running start but want to earn more NP as I buy so I'm mainly buying about once a week or once every other day lol :XD:

There's a reason for this. Quest games like Jhudora's Cloud have a very restricted time limit and eventually start calling for UB items. If you get an offer and it's pulled within a few minutes, it could very well be because of this.

Or that the person bid on multiple lots, got one accepted, then withdrew other offers.

    I'll do this sometimes.

Just get the offers out there and hope for the best.

Hm, that's a point. Sorry, didn't think about that. I was just being annoyed about people bidding and almost immediately withdrawing their offer.

when i have HTS in my lots i receive neomails of people doing quests, asking me if i'm online at the moment to buy the items for their illussen/jhudora's quests, I think people normally don't bid on multiple trades unless they're very very rich

Or it they're buying in bulk. That's the only time I'll actually put offers up on multiple trades.

I only play the quests every few months, but when I do, I know when to quit. Generally items worth >200k is enough to deter me, although from time to time, I'll splurge on a bigger item ;)

Here's what you do; note down their username before you click the icon.
Then, if they withdrew, you can wing them a neomail about their offer, if you want.

For reasons mentioned above - probably timed quests of utmost importance. :o

What do you guys do for HTS's that aren't collector's items or such? Like <r90's and stuff. O_o

this would work in a sense and would be a great feature. But I think you couldn't really implement anything but pure NP into the script.
