Jesus christ, I ain't ever even seen a gun :crybaby:. It seems so weird that you know so many people with them.

Hunting is big up here. It's not uncommon for people to get off school to go hunting with their family.

Heh, here I am never been hunting my entire life. Only been fishing twice.

Anyway, back to the original topic. I'd bring money, identification, food that'll last me a few days, and a weapon.

My hat. My clothes. Food. Water. Seeds to grow crops. Hell, in twenty four hours, I could have everything I needed, even luxurious things.

I love how your hat is the first thing on your list :p

Going to help you a lot if you die from starvation eh? :p

Anyways. A Tsunami is a stupid thing to plan for. You take whats valuable. Then you leave the rest. The Government will give you food/water/and shelter.

What we should plan for is a Nuclear Apocalypse. This is the most likely to happen :p, and at the point were you would need to actually survive. You only have 6 hours for preparation. Lets see how many people would die.

My supplies would be as much condensed food that I can carry. Pots/Canteen. Toxicity counter. Skinning Knife. Hunting Bow. Geiger Counter. Flint.

    Explanation.
Condensed food is lighter and doesn't expire. Water is in abundance. I have a toxicity counter to tell me if its toxic, as well as a Geiger counter to check for radiation. If its toxic then I can boil the water before consumption using the Flint pots. The Canteen will enable me to store water as I travel. The Hunting Bow will enable to me to continue to hunt animals for food for years as its ammo is re-usable, and I can make more using the Skinning Knife. The Skinning Knife can always be used to skin the animal so I can eat it.

How many of these things do you have in your house right now? If the answer is less than "all," then you lose.

Toxicity counter? What does such a thing go by? I don't think toxicity can be measured. Especially since it's relative. hmmmmm
I has some googling to do

Also don't forget water purification tablets. And making arrows is very hard, and I think that they shatter a decent amount of the time. You'd be better off with a rifle

No. Arrows are significantly better then a rifle. I grew up learning how to make arrows, and I can make them with fair ease. I've also learned how to tell what arrows are toxic and many other things that will help my survivability. The main shaft of the arrow will break, but not the arrow head, which is the important part. Wood can be replaced very easily.

How many of these things do you have in your house right now? If the answer is less than "all," then you lose.

It doesn't say it has to be in your house, just what would you take with you. If it has to be whats in my house, Toxicity counter is replaced with water purification tablets.

Its not precisely just toxicity. It compares the source material against how much is in your sample. Its how diabetes test their blood sugar and things like that, its just setup for toxic materials (Obviously not all, but the most common, such as toxic heavy metals).

Perkins has wifi too. Besides, if I were going to die, I'd strongly consider going there anyway. Not as a last meal thing, but the idea of dying in a 'family place' for shock value. That, and their pancakes. I'd take pancakes over "coffee" any day.

I don't think I've anyone suggest this, but bringing along "The Zombie Survival Guide" might not be a bad idea. I find myself a little more able to focus and read when I *absolutely* have to. Best case scenario, it's light reading. Worst case, it could save your ass ;)
