Best moment so far for me is New Zealand's equalizer yesterday.

The World Cup has been disappointing so far. I think it's partly to do with so many teams being terrified of losing (more so than normal) and the ball. Players are rarely shooting from range because they can't get the ball to stay down.

Everyone who cares says the first round always sucks, and the second round is better.
I don't know either way because I don't care too much

But I think the final will be Brazil vs. Spain

Realistically I figure it's probably going to be Brazil/Argentina vs. Germany. Originally, I thought Spain would make it...but watching them lose today, seems unlikely they'll make it to the finals. The Swiss had great defense but a world champion caliber team would've still found a way to win (like Brazil did against N Korea).
"The World Cup has been disappointing so far. I think it's partly to do with so many teams being terrified of losing (more so than normal) and the ball. Players are rarely shooting from range because they can't get the ball to stay down."
--They're taking a lot fewer shots on goal overall, I think most strikers are still feeling out the field and the way the ball moves. You can see their problems with the ball's unpredictable movement by some of the shots they're missing, which normally they'd bury in the back of the net.
"Everyone who cares says the first round always sucks, and the second round is better."
--I care! And this is very true, because of the way the 32 spots are split between conferences, some teams get in that really shouldn't be here...like Greece and Australia, for example. After the first round, those teams get knocked out and the good teams kick it up a notch and start REALLY playing. Right now most of the top teams are pretty much just coasting...
Edit: Cause my post looked all weird and why can't I quote?!

Hopefully it will give them a kick up the bum but if they dont buck up my guess is either holland/argentina vs brazil for the final
I have money on Chile though, so them to, but i doubt it lol.

Brazil is always a favorite. You could say they underperformed against North Korea, but also that was their first WC match and none of the teams (except Germany) have showed their killer instinct the first match.
"I was sort of disappointed by Brazil today. I thought North Korea would've been an easy win, maybe 3-0 at least. But then they aren't starting Ronaldinho or Adriano. They need to play a lot better if they want to make it to the finals. "
Starting those two would be difficult since they are not even in the team lol. Ronaldinho is good, but Brazil seems to prefer more defensive midfielders apart from Elano and Kaka. Adriano I think is past his prime.
Argentina has the best attacking I think but their defense is lacking and if the first games are something to go by, most of their opposition seems to be hugely interested in parking the bus in front of goal so I don't know how effective they can be. Among the other teams, I think Ivory Coast, Chile, and Holland have strong chances also.

Ronaldinho didn't make the team because he is lazy. Dunga is all about the hard work.
South Korea did well today. I think the scoreline was a little flattering for Argentina....winning by relentlessly attacking won't win this World Cup.

I have never heard anyone say that the first round always sucks. If it always sucked then the fact this one has been so shit wouldn't have bothered people so much.

Is basically a summary of what I think about the World Cup.
I'd actually be watching it more if my brother was around though, he's the one that always got me excited for soccer, and it's no fun without him.

Neither are on the team this year. Adriano wasn't because as coach put it he was given several opportunities but couldn't perform when they needed him to. In regards to Ronaldinho since the last World Cup games he came across a little sluggish and his injury this past season didn't help him. They opted for a younger forward field with a good midfield and an experienced back field.
They didn't disappoint they didn't have to play N Korea was nobody they got the last goal at the last minute
After watching the games though I am skeptical of Spain =/

1.) Aregentina
2.) Brazil
3.) Spain
4.) England
for some reason I think its going to be Argentina vs Brasil maybe or vs England.
Also the reason for Brazil and why they are lacking is because Adriano and Ronaldinho are not playing at all in the WC....both I believed are injured...and they are the best strikers for Brazil.
