To follow Rowling's theme, the most valuable item in HP would be love.
But meh, hit me up with another shot of Felix.

Love exists outside of that world. Thats a waste of a choice.

I've never read that Felix Felicis gets worse the more you use... was that conjecture or fact?Liquid Luck gets worse the more you use it.
Philosophers stone leaves you vulnerable to me killing you to take it.
Too true...Love exists outside of that world. Thats a waste of a choice.
But so oblivious! Perhaps it's just the nature of a novel to reveal things to the reader prior to the characters, but the plot lines and character dynamics were uber obvious when I read the books. They're archetypal. The fact that Ron and Hermione are in love, for instance, was hinted at as early as the second book, yet didn't develop significantly until the conclusion of the series. Too drawn out.Ah.. but then again, the love in HP is so idealized and powerful.

And philosopher's stones must be kept secret of necessity or they are vulnerable to theft. You don't have to kill anyone at all - just burgle their spot.
Too true...

My favorite character relationship is Harry and Hermione. They have the perfect example of platonic love; it frustrates me!If I were Harry I would have gone for the brainy, loyal friend, because romance can always blossom in those fertile grounds. Going after his best mate's sister, by contrast, seems contrived and too storybook. Plus the way Ginny was introduced and characterized really set her apart from Harry's group of friends... she seemed like enough of an outsider to be novel when Harry started dating. It was too convenient a plot development.

Ah, I just remember a line to the tune of "desperately hard to make, disastrous should you get it wrong" and of course the promise of success in all your endeavors.I didn't really like Harry ending up with Ginny either. When I first read the epilogue, I was like, "This must be a first draft or fan-fic!!!"
But let's give the boy a break, after what he has been through, harry potter deserve a happy ending.
P.S. It is stated that too much of Felix Felicis is a bad thing. During the very first introduction of the potion in Slughorn's class.

I was somewhat bothered how the romance between Harry and Ginny developed, but what bothered me more was it was never explained to us how Lily Evans could fall for someone as douchey as James Potter. In the flashback it was implied that she was disgusted by his behavior, but we are never shown any redeeming qualities of the man who Harry defends so steadily. But so oblivious!
