And American. I couldn't have a wife, even if I wanted one. :(

I'd want a wand so I could do magic.

Crap, can't believe I didn't think of this earlier - that room in Hogwarts that becomes exactly what you need it to be, where Dumbledore's Army trained. I'd love to attach that to my house

The room of requirement? Not sure how it works though.

Too true, Adam wins.

But then you'd have to go to that room for whatever you needed. Not as convenient as a wand.

:D (a wand would be awesome but us muggles couldn't use it, unlike the room)

Ok, next question:

Any one thing from Discworld?

Never got into it. I bought one book and thought it was alright, but it didn't motivate me to continue reading.

Yeah, I've read Mort and that's it. I can't think of anything I'd want from Mort.

It would be handy to have The Luggage from Color of Magic follow me around, but... D: I would constantly be afraid for my life. Especially if it still thought that Twoflower was its owner.

Maybe one of those hourglasses which extends your life.

But really, what I'd want most of all is to be a Professor at UU. The academic lifestyle without the funding disputes, plus access to L-Space AND huge cheeseboards (I am a huge believer in "three cheeses isn't a cheeseboard, it's a penance!"). Of course it would require a gender change but it would so be worth it.

Erm, it was a long time ago, and I don't know about Binky. I haven't had time to read much of the series because I spent most of my time hanging out with Emma Watson with some friends and eyebrows once. Bigfoot was there. How do you like me now?

The obvious answer is those things Voldemort used to gain immortality. Though if I have immortality and everybody else has a flying broomstick or a magic wand I might get pretty bored...

Binky was his horse that could insta-travel anywhere (including alternate dimensions). Mort's like my favourite book from the series (anything with Death is awesome. Rincewind being a close second)

Oh, too bad. I think he's the author who I've read the most books by. What're you reading nowadays Patrick?

Mmm. I'm reading Less Than Zero by Bret Easton Ellis. My neighbor gave it to me, and it's about youths doing drugs. I haven't finished it, quite possibly because it hasn't given me much reason to do so. It's dull, and quite bad writing. Artsy fartsy, lots of run on sentences. It's supposed to be the Catcher in the Rye of the MTV generation, but I don't really see it.

I'm also reading about the buddha, but that's an ongoing battle. Can you ever finish it all?

Also, Jon Stewart's book is on my coffee table. America (the book) a Citizen's Guide to Democracy Inaction. Very good read.
