wow it's so easy even a heroin addict can do it... jesus.
Drawing blood and injecting liquid into your body are two different things?

Dont you have some test slip or appointment slip?
Also, unless you have needle holes in you everyday, i doubt people would actuly think you were an addict...
Sorry though! I woulda passed out, i allways do when i have a blood test.
Im jealous, I mostly just get dizzy and still have to go through with it. Passing out sounds like a good solution to me, you wont even realise

Weakling, before I come back to that... I agree with Sweeney and ekluise. Medical students need to learn somehow and you are the perfect test subject. Now, I am imagining they were looking for the right vein in your arm and it is very difficult to find - especially if one is inexperienced. Secondly you're lucky you only got jabbed five times, I've had more. Then again, I'm use to injections. Still, if you yourself were so damn annoyed about them jabbing you five times over you should have made your voice heard.
Honestly though, i understand that sometimes the vein can be quite hard to find, but mine is literally plain as day. You can see it bulging out from a mile away. I also understand that medical students have to learn, but that doesnt make it any less irritating :|
The woman knew i was annoyed, and she could see me quirming/ sighing whenever she had to do it again.
Ive had injections/ blood tests all my life, and this is the first time anything even relatively like this has happened :|

Today I got "volunteered" to have to newb stick me because I had good veins. The kid went a little slow so I squirted blood all over myself, but it only took one stab.
But if you want to bitch, then I wish that every time you made a mistake at a new job, someone would bitch about you all day long. They are new. They are not perfect. Get over it.

Maybe your veins just suck?

ahahaha clam down , ive already noted that i understand that theyre new, inexperienced and prone to mistakes, and that everyone has to learn somewhere.
And dont you worry, if i did that to someone, id expect them to bitch their little hearts out XD

Why's everyone being so harsh on the ts? I mean you guys would bitch too if a waiter gave you the wrong order at a restaurant or the pharmacist gave you the wrong prescription and I know you guys would definitely talk shit if someone stuck a needle in you 5 times before finally drawing blood

That's called projecting. You haven't got a clue what any of us would do.Why's everyone being so harsh on the ts? . Luckily I've never experienced this problem due to my high vascularity
. To TS good luck with your situation.

See Sweeney I knew you were going to try to argue with me again . . . stop trolling me you're getting really annoying. And considering the way you keep trying to bitch at me I could already guess the way you act in real life. *you don't have to respond to this cause I won't look at your response. Anyways it's human nature to complain.

You mean Information and Iargue ?
Information - Well maybe he just wanna boasts his situation and show us how needles were like nothing to him and how nonchalant he was when he was injected many times over ?
Iargue - You know why

So, I'm about 3-4 months pregnant and have to get some blood-work done. I'm sitting in the lab and the doctor asks me "We have some med-students here, would you let them draw on you? I understand if you don't, and you don't have to let them." or something like that. Anyways my thought went like this "Yeah, sure, why not. They could get some practice and not like I'm afraid of needles or pain." So I watch as they insert me with a needle, start to draw the blood. I come in the room thinking 1-2 small vials of blood. Not 5-6 LARGE vials of blood.
Now here it would be important to tell you of my embarrassing condition. When I'm not expecting to see blood, and then see it, I pass out. Like I can cut up my hands and cause they hurt I'm not worried about the blood on my hands, but if I notice a cut on my arm that is fairly bloody and I didn't expect it there. I pass out. I pass out when someone else comes in with their hand or something bleeding horribly.
So anyway. Here I am watching her draw 5 times the amount of blood I expected her to draw and all I can think is "That's a lot of blood..." During this whole time my stepmom is watching me. I am fine when they take out the needle, I am fine when I see a drop of blood seep to the surface, I am NOT fine when they put a bandaid over it. Within moments the rush of wind fills my ears, darkness envelops me, and I wake up with Blaze holding me asking me if I was okay.
I was later informed that I passed out, and started to have seizures, possibly due to the fact I was fighting the urge to pass-out with all my might. The nurses took my vitals and made sure everything was okay before they let me stand up. I've never had a problem with standing up after I passed out, when I come to, if I say I'm okay then I'm usually okay. So I scared the shit out of the student cause she thought she had done something wrong. I told her that it was my fourth time passing out from the site of blood and not to worry cause I was working on overcoming the problem.

Not being harsh, just tellin' it like it is. Some of us seem to have all worked in environments where we have been mistreated by customers who would call us morons and openly bitch that we don't know what we're doing. I'm pretty sure you know what that's like as well, because you, well, you know. You're kinda a moron sometimes. Not being harsh. Just tellin' it like it is.Why's everyone being so harsh on the ts?
p.s. poor Xwee. The only time I've had blood drawn, I passed out as well. It really freaked me out and I cried as shamefully as though I had wet the bed.

I agree with Sweeney; they have to learn somehow. That being said, after the second or third botched attempt, you can always ask them to get someone else.
THIS.
Learning is one thing, but REPEATEDLY practicing on the same person is wrong.

Not when your evaluation depends on you drawing the blood....

Have them put you to sleep and do a c-section, or inform them of your condition before hand and they might can do something to keep you conscience if you don't want a small/big (depending on where/how they cut) scar on your stomach. I woke up around 2 hours after Kiara was born.
The first time I passed out due to blood, I was around 9 years old and my half-lab was really sick, when the vet stuck an IV in his paw a bit of blood squirted on the table. I stared at it (stupid me) until I passed out. When I woke up I was confuzed cause I didn't remember anything and thought I should be in my bedroom. Before I could actually ask anything though my memory came flooding back to me.
